Pohpiah came from SIngapore way back in 1880s , later the Malayans brought it to Malacca and it spread throughout Malay Peninsular. Singapore is the birthplace of pohpiah
@hirziboy omg...u again...almost every videos i see that shows malaysian food, u always come in n commented that every malaysian food we have is originated from singapore, omg dude, seriously...do something useful in yr life...=.=
There is no health or food safety in Malaysia. I was a Malaysia now that I live and work in food industry in Canada for 30 yrs, now watching this videos is rather strange. I miss the Malaysia food though...absolutely delicious.
this is called 'Po Piah Basah' or Wet Po Piah.Theres another version which is called 'Po Piah Goreng' or Fried Po Piah. The 'skin' which is white in this video, it will be fried and then put some ingredients in it...it good for vegetarians ;)
@thisisnotyours1 it is called sengkuang, its like white carrots but when it is cooked,it taste like potatoes but sweeter, ive even misidentified it as potatoes at first ive saw it. how did i know all that?CUZ IM A MALAYSIAN
There are barely any vendors who could speak decent English. You're mostly going to have to use hand motions if you don't know malay. I don't know much Malay, even though I'm malaysian hahahaha xD. But the restaurants like "Secret Recipe" will have people speaking in English. So, yeah :)
U made me hungry mother fucker, r u happy now?
