He took the band to a higher level. Just compare the sloppyness of marcus live in 2000-2003 and then hear one with Truby. Really got better because of him. Really tight.
Truby and Marcos are both great guitarists, I was a fan of Truby when he played for LS. But Marcos seems like a swell guy to, I am glad that he and PD were able to work their issues out and come clean.
Also it is Phil Keaggy playing with POD on this, he is a fantastic guitarist and everyone here should check his work out.
He left LS I think because he wanted to get on with life and possibly family. I think he left POD because he wanted to get into more arful music and possibly make room for a returning Marcos who had reconciled with POD. I believe he left on good terms.
