Synfig really isn't quite designed for flipping through images. I would suggest combing the images using another program like gimp, or ffmpeg. After that, you can import the result into Synfig.
Synfig can import animated files ending in gif, avi, mpeg, and more.
How do I put my animation into a file format that I can edit like .wmv or .mp4 or .mkv or .avi??
