@Fireheart528 I'm not sure if it's still made. They were rugged trucks. I think the dump I drove was rated for 88k gvw. The state max with an overweight was 77k pounds.
A good friend of mine (now long deceased) had one of the very few '74 Brute "Short Doubles" here in Michigan, where the GW is 164,000 lbs. It was a "Quad" straight truck (tag n pusher axle) and pulled a 6 axle (12 wheeler) Hercules pup. It was the baddest rig around here for yrs. Today it has been aborted into a tractor, but still works every day. NTA370 Cummins RTO 9513 tranny. Burgundy/White stripes. Still one baaaaad K-Whopper!!! I owned a 85 "C-500" (mini-Brute) from 93 to 99.
Ken Boyd runs one every day in Victoria BC he's called cherry point trucking ltd. and he pulls a pup behind his gravel truck. it's the ugliest truck in Victoria :)
he hauls material for RG Excavating Ltd. in Victoria a lot he lives in cobble hill, but he commutes over the Malahat a lot, you can't miss it, its a dark red Kenworth brute that has "brute" on the side of the hood. back 10 years ago it was Brute Trucking Ltd." but now after a name change it's Cherry point Trucking Ltd. keep your eyes peeled its not hard to miss!
Kenworth in Australia make a C501 Brute, an on-highway super heavy duty with a Cummins K19 as an option. I see a lot of them around.
