I had this cool thought to make Mars' transformation just a tad bit more interesting. Personally I think that when When Sailor Mars spun around, they should have been wisps of fire being flung off her skirt.

Plus,not to mention,Sailor Moon came out the same exact year Yu Yu Hakusho did in 1992,so they'll ocationally throw in references to Yu Yu Hakusho,also from what I heard, Naoka is working along with Togashi on the hunter X hunter 2011 remake which is awsome.

I think the only reason why people love Sailor Mar's transformatiobn so much is because she is the only senshi alongside Sailor Moon that we get to see the accessory get put on. I love the "heels" part of her transformation sequence and the little ding noise, it adds a zing to her sequence. I think alll of the senshi should have atleast one accesory put on them.

actually it's no surprise that Sailor Mars would reference Yu Yu Hakusho with the whole Yusuke Uremeshi's Spirit Gun thing,because the creator of Sailor Moon married the Creator of Yu Yu hakusho,so in a way,it's kind of unique they would reference YYH that way.lol
