i see alot of comments bwt lyk the young people doin bad and tht kynda stuff but its not all ov us and wea im from we grew up listening to these artists and this type of music and i think it impacted the way we see the world today but i dunno maybe?? oh and im onli 17
This song was one of 12 tracks? on an album by him called English History. I cannot get the bloody thing anywhere. Can anyone help? I had the orginal long player back in the 80's but cannot pay it anymore. Can't get a CD anywhere. One track 'Behind blue eyes' to my mind was the best ever version I have ever heard. His voice made it come 'alive.' By comparsion limp biskit version is limp. Not saying theirs was not good, it just doesn't stack up to Jon's. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help.
get your love right what an advise to the young lovers who make shumbles of there love life its bloody good advise am going to repeat those words to my nephews & nices haaa haa my words get you love right ya blind or what kid ty again je ..
Ok, I've found the origins of the track "King of the blind", and it was apparently the b-side of the single "Hold back the night" from "In roads". Anyone got that single?!
thanks for posting this one guys one of his best. In my opinion Jon is one of Australia's most underrated talents of the 70's and a damm fine guy who I had the pleasure to call friend. Not bad for a boy from the Western Suburbs of Sydney!
After years searching for a recording of a song I had on my cassette tape (European) version of "Calm before the storm", I am now trying to find it through YouTube members looking at Jon English videos. The song is called "King of the blind", written by J. himself, and is absolutely stunning - my favourite J.E. song ever. Anyone got it on any media at all? (No ebay item has got it on.)
Well, thank you a lot for replying. If I come across it, I will be sure to let you have a listen if you want to. Believe me, it is a superb track. I can not understand its fate.
I think I sent it to you on one of the many tapes we have exchanged over the years. It is hard to imagine that I would have missed sending this one to you as it is a fave of mine. But maybe I did.
I remember this song from my pre teen years. Loved it then, love it now. On a par with Alice Coopers "How you gonna see me now".

Maybe it was a B side and that is why no one has it or can remember it. I certainly have never even heard of it, so sorry I cannot help you.
