Hi great video. I have just started this as a hobby and have eletric yellow labs. Cant spell thecsceintific name. I want to start a breeding colony with 1 male to 5 females, what would be the best size tank to keep thesr in. Im from australia by the way. Was going to put them in a 3 foot tank it holds around 165lt of water. Please give advice. Thanks darren
@anglia06 Hey mate where abouts in australia are you from im from australia aswell and i am keeping electric yellows and wanting to breed them aswell if your close we might be able to do some trades at certain times as im just bought to set a whole room up in my house to a room just for breeding fish i have one tank atm as 7 tanks smashed when i was moving houses but im starting again and i would like to keep in touch if u are close. cheeers mate :)
@newforestrob Well spotted, no I havent sold them. Normally I would cull badly barred fry early off but I had this series in mind. It's nearly impossible to have a batch of African Cichlid fry that all have perfect barring. If anyone buys fish off me I'm honest and will tell them if the barring isn't perfect. But like the saying goes ones mans trash is another mans treasure.
Sorry about all the q's. But in your tank it doesn't seem to have a lot of cave only a couple did that ever put up the aggression can't wait till Fridays vid thanks
Ok that would be good because I am probably going to put then in with my adult mbuna. The is going to have lots of cave made probably from black lime stone
Bought a week a go I said I brought 60 demasoni fry but just added another 18 the fry range from 2cm to 4cm. But I am picking t hem up in 3 and half weeks do u recon they will grow much in that time thanks
Hey what do u feed your fry to grow so quick? And keep up the grate vids

@anglia06 Hi Darren, a 3ft tank would be fine for 6 yellow labs.
