Yes, this is the original soundtrack version. I know because I had it long ago and played it so much that it will never leave my memory. And it still moves me to this day.

People can say Adele is better all they want but her version is all show, IMHO. Garth put raw emotion into singing this and it shows.

@09erinrowland ok. i dont want to argue or explain this thing but you ask for it actually the first version i supposed to create was the original one which Dylan's ver. but when i heard Brook's cover i just loved it, instead of dylan so i decided to do this vid . In Dylan's ver. that was the lyrics so i just put it in video & i think theres no wrong about it, & besides the true sense & meaning of the song was still there w/c the important thing..look for Dylan's lyrics ok....

It is certainly garth, this is one of those songs that stays with you. This is the original version. If you have something different on greatest hits its a different cut. I have heard a verion that is remixed a bit, which is not as good as this one

Folks have trouble believing it's Garth, because this version is so simple. It's just him and the piano. He usually has a band or orchestra behind him; and his voice has a slightly higher timbre than usual. Esp. when compared to, say, The Thunder Rolls. Sound mixers usually even out the vocals, bass, treble, musicians, etc. For the movie, they wanted it EXACTLY the way he played it for them when he brought them the song: pure Garth, pure piano, pure magic.
