  • @1508jairo yes but its safer if you just use three different hard drives. That way if something happens to the drive you won't lose everything you have.

  • Can run on

    Intel Atom N455, 1.66GHz

    Chipset Intel NM10

    Graphics GMA 3150

  • @timpelser1 ya you can

  • mr fuzzy fuzzy lion

  • Could you please tell me what hardware are you using? I am currently using Leopard 10.5.8 on my crappy AMD computer and i want to be able to use Lion futurely.

  • @TheAtomKiller2000 amd doesnt work with lion

  • @mgeezy89

That's why i asked for your hardware.

I will build a new computer in 2012, and i want it to be able to run Snow Leopard with the vanilla kernel, so that i can use the method on the video to upgrade to Lion.

  • good guide !

  • Now I know why Apple were only charging $30 for the upgrade to "Lion".

    'Cos THAT'S ALL IT'S WORTH!!!

Lion is a fucking disaster. Sure, it's got all the useless gimmicks, but NO PowerPC based program will work with this piece of crap! I thought Apple was all about "It just works". Well folks, it BLOODY DOESN'T. Get your shit sorted out Apple or lose to Microsoft - FOREVER!!!

  • @Mrphilharmonic um idk if you knew but apple switched to intel a few years ago. snow leopard isnt even ppc friendly.

  • @Mrphilharmonic Dude calm down..! PPC was dead quite a while ago. Now they are thinking about moving to an ARM architecture. They use what is best at the time. Also, of course lion will not just work with a hackintosh, is wasn't meant to run on one in the first place. It "just works" on my macbook pro. Do your research before trolling.

  • @Mrphilharmonic

PPC? you are complaining about a 5 year old architecture?

  • @Mrphilharmonic Oh My God, yes.... Lion won't run 7 year old, obsolete Power PC Software... Yes, that's a disaster!!!

  • @Mrphilharmonic Your a dumbass you the guy who replied is right and uhh you make no sense!!

  • Before the xMove needs me to select a partition to install, it asks me check one of two things:

    Retail App Store Install

    Retail USB Thumb Drive Install

however, if I check anyone of them, the installation is failed.

I have install the Lion already.

    Please help, thanks!

  • @kinkin19962003 did you let it restart the computer?

  • @mgeezy89 First, I have installed the Lion OS X, now its working, thanks for you video.

Now my problem is, When I log in to the App Store, it says:

Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance.

    Please help.

  • Why don't people just use the niresh method to hackintosh it also works on Macs and it's free and can someone tell me why people use iatkos l instead of niresh

  • lol.. i dont care HOW legitimate this is.. Im not fucking up my Mac like the last free update i did on my PC.

  • the latest SL software update (10.6.8) is alone is huge pain in the ARSE and takes dozens of hours of diligent work to install, let alone Lion OSX dude.

  • question i am a XP user and if i install this on my computer should all things save and then are my system continu being a Xp?

  • @Gilbert92Sarip yes if you use iatkos L1

  • @SuperJockemedkniven i have use iatkos L1 and i can't in stall it. here is were i get stuck : youtube.com/watch?v=wZxtf2jwcWs

  • @Gilbert92Sarip do you have an 64bit processor ?

  • @SuperJockemedkniven no i don't have 64bit cpu. i install Mac os X Snow Leopard with no problems

  • @Gilbert92Sarip and thats is why it don´t work mac os x lion is the first mac os that only work on 64bit processor

  • was wondering if you can get rid of the INSTALLER partition after you install lion successfully?

  • @TimeBigot yes its a simple as going into disk utility and getting rid of it like any other partition. I personally keep it if i need a fresh install of lion.

  • Hey man, great tutorial! i have one difficult problem i need solving thought :(

My HDD says its Partition Map Scheme is 'Master Boot Record' and therefore i cannot add/resize/remove etc. partitions. I can get it installed, all i need to do is create the partition while installing snow leopard and then install lion... but then i am left with this partition i cannot delete which is annoying. Do you know how to change from MBR to GUID?? or how to get around this issue?? please help!

  • @salter4321 using disk utility you can change it. before you install anything, snow leopard or anything, when you go to format the disk you should click options to make sure that it says apple guid and not master boot record. windows uses master boot record but apple software needs guid to work and mange drives. If you don't have anything critical on your apple software i would just go ahead and reinstall and make sure to check that option when partitioning your drive(s).

  • Will this method work with an Atom Dule Core 1.66 chip ? namely the Atom N570.

    .

I have a 10'inch Eee PC Asus 1015PN-PU27 and was thinking about trying to install mac os for fun om it. Thoughts ? :)

    .

    Awesome tut, ty.

  • @SALEHinCANADA is that an intel chip?

  • @mgeezy89

Yes, Intel Atom N570 Dule Core 1.66 CPU.

  • @SALEHinCANADA im pretty positive that snow leopard will work. im not too sure lion will though. have you tried any test installs? thats the best way to see what works. i only have access to my machine and havent been able to test out other systems and configurations.

  • @mgeezy89

Not really <<< Total nub when it comes to these things. As i said, might give it a try some time just for the "lolz".

    .

& Thanks for the confirmation about snow.

  • @SALEHinCANADA no problem man lol too bad you don't live near me id do it for you lol

  • will this work with my magic trackpad? i dont want to install lion without an apple trackpad (becaues of the mulitouch gestures)) thanks :)

  • @K1llerEel I'm pretty sure it will. I currently have a apple magic mouse but since I don't have the right Bluetooth dongle I cant use it. But I did order a couple dongles that have been reported to work so once I get those in and test them out to make sure they work completely I will make an update video. Lost of people with hackintoshs and real apple computers have reported that Bluetooth has stopped working. so stay tuned and thanks for watching.

  • @mgeezy89 Thanks Man

  • @K1llerEel no problem

  • Does it work for AMD?

  • @menushadesanayaka255 I don't believe so.

  • How many GHz Does this Require?

  • @iTechNetwork not sure. are you talking for the cpu or ram?

  • @mgeezy89 Proccessor CPU

  • @iTechNetwork not too sure what the minimum is but my last processor was only 2.2GHz Dual core

  • Hi,I've successfully installed Lion 3 weeks ago but today after a power failure my system won't boot anymore, it gets stuck at a line saying something like UUID error , strange thing is it would boot from SATA 3 port but not SATA 6, another thing is in the bios setup in Boot Device Priority, My HDD: WDC WD1002F has changed to IDE: WDC WD1002F when i'm using SATA 6!

I'm using AHCI in storage configuration but have no clue why it says IDE!

    anyway

    Sabertoothx58 Motherboard,Core i7 950 CPU,6GB RAM

  • This is awesome!

  • @marquesbrownlee thank you.

  • @marquesbrownlee you ever use Mac before?

  • @mgeezy89 Yep!

  • @marquesbrownlee cool. hit me up if you ever need help with anything technical wise or anything else. I'm always willing to help a fellow youtuber.

  • Please note: Using SL's Kext Utility will screw up your boot folder and you will have trouble to boot into Lion. Make sure you upgrade Kext Utility to v2.5.0b for Lion... I suggest you drop all those SL utilities that fix permissions, extensions, etc... and just use "Kest Wizard v3.7.10", it does all that those SL utilities did and more and its very stable for Lion!

  • Nice, I thought you could only clean install Lion with this method by you just showed that this method without using Disk Utilities to format, can also upgrade SL or Lion over it! Nice.... Thanks dude...

  • core i3,i5,i7 should be find

  • Hey, This is a very nice a simple tut, But I can't seem to boot into the Installation partition. It boots and gets stuck at "Couldn't alloc class ioscsiperipheraldevicetype05" And Ive been trying all day and yesterday to get past it with no success :( Any help?...

  • @weasal167 what kind of system are you trying to run this on?

  • @mgeezy89 Never Mind, I fixed it c: I started all over again, But removed my Graphics Card, & used the onboard one, and everything worked fine, the installation went through ok, and just everything worked perfectly, and once I got to my Lion desktop, I let it do it's updates and than turned it off, popped my Graphics Card back in, and My resolution went back to normal, and it just worked like normal again. No need to have to install any kexts or use Multibeast or anything. c:

  • @weasal167 good. did you upgrade to lion yet?

  • @mgeezy89 Yeah, I said I did in my previous comment and I love it (':

  • @weasal167 well im glad that i was able to help you out with this. Enjoy. also im going to sub you.

  • @mgeezy89 Oh Cool, Thanks!

  • Is there any performance decrease in general with hackintosh?

  • @Recon9143 not from what ive seen a fresh install of windows vs mac seems just about the same. but of course mac is a little faster due to it being programmed better in my opinion

  • Hey boss I installed it over the Snow Leopard disk. But my mouse and keyboard is not moving. I use an apple magic mouse and an apple wireless keyboard.

  • @airmax3255 Seems like a bluetooth error.

  • @Mw3x360 took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking about getting a apple keyboard and mouse just to complete the "apple" set but never got around to it

  • @airmax3255 was there anything that you installed before to get the mouse and keyboard to work?
