Hi... I succede in installing SL iatkos s3v2 following your tut.. after i tried to update to 10.6.8 but i got pci configuration begin .... now i'm on 10.6.6.. can i upgrade to 10.7? i'm using Dell inspiron 1750 19"
@1508jairo yes but its safer if you just use three different hard drives. That way if something happens to the drive you won't lose everything you have.
Could you please tell me what hardware are you using? I am currently using Leopard 10.5.8 on my crappy AMD computer and i want to be able to use Lion futurely.
I will build a new computer in 2012, and i want it to be able to run Snow Leopard with the vanilla kernel, so that i can use the method on the video to upgrade to Lion.
Now I know why Apple were only charging $30 for the upgrade to "Lion".
'Cos THAT'S ALL IT'S WORTH!!!
Lion is a fucking disaster. Sure, it's got all the useless gimmicks, but NO PowerPC based program will work with this piece of crap! I thought Apple was all about "It just works". Well folks, it BLOODY DOESN'T. Get your shit sorted out Apple or lose to Microsoft - FOREVER!!!
@Mrphilharmonic Dude calm down..! PPC was dead quite a while ago. Now they are thinking about moving to an ARM architecture. They use what is best at the time. Also, of course lion will not just work with a hackintosh, is wasn't meant to run on one in the first place. It "just works" on my macbook pro. Do your research before trolling.
Dude i love you! Im gonna do this after my time machine finished backing up, then i will attempt to update to 10.6.8, then ill download Lion and install it on a new partition so i can dualboot them! Its gonna be so badass! thank you soo much!
Why don't people just use the niresh method to hackintosh it also works on Macs and it's free and can someone tell me why people use iatkos l instead of niresh
the latest SL software update (10.6.8) is alone is huge pain in the ARSE and takes dozens of hours of diligent work to install, let alone Lion OSX dude.
@mgeezy89 also iv got a problem i eventually installed mac but i want to boot more than one os i put in windows xp disk but it cant find no hdd so i go onto mac disk utility then i change the hdd volume format to fat then erase but it wont change format just keeps hfs+ any idea on how to change it ?
Can i run it on my HP omni 5215la?: Motherboard: ASUS ALBERTA-U Chipset: AMD CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 260u 1,8 GHz, 3600 MHz FSB RAM: 6 GB DDR3 LAN Realtek 802.11b/g/n Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4270 (256 MB original, with Ram 2943 MB) 1600 X 900 WIFI 1 TB SATA (7200 rpm) Thanks! (: I´ve Windows 7
@TimeBigot yes its a simple as going into disk utility and getting rid of it like any other partition. I personally keep it if i need a fresh install of lion.
@snipe2531 XD means a lot of things. In this case,I used XD because it could mean death which means "omg i hope i dont fuck up the guide" and happiness which means "yay thanks for the guide you will give me" GG.
@snipe2531 do you even know where X as eyes came from or who first used it? if you don't you're using the smiley wrong.no it doesn't just mean lol. retarded facebookers who doesn't know what smileys mean thinks its just lol.
Hey man, great tutorial! i have one difficult problem i need solving thought :(
My HDD says its Partition Map Scheme is 'Master Boot Record' and therefore i cannot add/resize/remove etc. partitions. I can get it installed, all i need to do is create the partition while installing snow leopard and then install lion... but then i am left with this partition i cannot delete which is annoying. Do you know how to change from MBR to GUID?? or how to get around this issue?? please help!
@salter4321 using disk utility you can change it. before you install anything, snow leopard or anything, when you go to format the disk you should click options to make sure that it says apple guid and not master boot record. windows uses master boot record but apple software needs guid to work and mange drives. If you don't have anything critical on your apple software i would just go ahead and reinstall and make sure to check that option when partitioning your drive(s).

@K1llerEel I'm pretty sure it will. I currently have a apple magic mouse but since I don't have the right Bluetooth dongle I cant use it. But I did order a couple dongles that have been reported to work so once I get those in and test them out to make sure they work completely I will make an update video. Lost of people with hackintoshs and real apple computers have reported that Bluetooth has stopped working. so stay tuned and thanks for watching.
Hi,I've successfully installed Lion 3 weeks ago but today after a power failure my system won't boot anymore, it gets stuck at a line saying something like UUID error , strange thing is it would boot from SATA 3 port but not SATA 6, another thing is in the bios setup in Boot Device Priority, My HDD: WDC WD1002F has changed to IDE: WDC WD1002F when i'm using SATA 6!
I'm using AHCI in storage configuration but have no clue why it says IDE!
