  • What a skill!

  • Great

  • He's playing in Kolkata today! I'll surely attend!

  • He is touring India....and ain't I happy.. a great musician.....

  • Have you ever seen somebody play the piano?

  • Sick! ...and awesome^^

  • This Guy is incredible, show of hands in Salisbury City Hall, went and got my cd signed (Y) hes really nice too... which is great (Y)

  • Met him at the Amarillo Celtic fest a few years ago--I think he came back two or three times. Such a good guy. Also a dirty liar. I was playing with an Irish group, and he started going on about how good I was on backup guitar, etc. I'm OK at it, but that's kind of like saying you're OK at getting the first five letters of the alphabet in order, compared to the difficulty level in what the melody players are doing. Meanwhile, RB's ten levels above me, but takes time to say something nice.

  • I am literally in love with this

  • absolutely amazing

  • I saw Rodney play tonight, 17 Nov 2010, supporting Show of Hands - he was awesome and very kindly said I had a beautiful smile...so he can not only play two guitars and a tambourine at the same time, he can do it with poor vision LOL

  • saw him yesterday in callac...blew me away...

  • Saw him at Chagstock 2010 :D

  • I saw rodney in College Station TX about 8 years ago playing at Sweet Eugenes. THis guy I will never forget.

  • this guy is like a full band wrapped up into one person. Awsome!

  • rodney was raised in amarillo, tx. and started taking lessons when he was 13. and when he was 16 he started playing around with two guitars. and the rest as it where was history. amazing guy amazing artist. and most of the time he explains his duck taped guitar too

  • Absolutely speechless! Amazing! The talent and coordination it takes to do this is beyond my comprehension..... He's such a gift!

  • Believe it or not, my parents got him and another girl to play inside our house and have a mini concert! HE WAS AMAZING!

  • Saw him at Weyfest yesterday - brilliant guitarist and a great voice

  • I saw him play at small world festival, and got his autograph, hes awesome!

  • Who cares if he can sing? He is an extraordinary guitarist.

  • cant he sing?

  • OMG,

    he is awesome! :)

    Never seen it before.

  • was at Chagstock too. Was one of the highlights of the weekend

  • saw him at chagstock!! he is soooo amazing live!!

  • Gimmick.Yawn.

  • Saw him yesterday at Abbottsbury UK......absolutely outstanding.

  • I have a barbers in Heywood lancs, then this guy drops in for a hair cut, His mane was a long one and he was a passing customer. I starts talking to him as you do and finds out hes into music. Turns out this guy is a bit of a star, Best thing though is this guys an original, I think hes strummed with Jack Jhonson amongst many others and hes touring the uk i think doing some music lectures and gigs. Think hes doing Glastonbury. All i can say , is what a great guy and all the best for the future

  • HE´S GREEEAAATTT!!!!

  • Ive got his autograph and he let me behind the stage!

  • I love this guy. Saw him a few days ago when he came to my university.

  • This guy is coming to Lampeter tomorrow! I will be there!

  • I saw this guy in a little coffee shop in Flagstaff about 6-7 years ago. He was a nice guy, churned out a few requests for the few of us that showed up, and played an otherwise great set. The stuff that he is doing is not easy. Not just flashy, actually takes some semblance of skill.

  • Brilliant as ever ! This guy oozes talent and is not pretentious, big headed or flashy in any way whatsoever....unlike what some ignorant twat might think ! Keep it up Rodney you rock & we love you !!! ♥

  • just saw this guy tonight was awesome real nice too...

  • Can't see the point in it myself... flashy, but boring...

One of these days I'll video myself playing Duellin' Banjo on banjo and guitar, which I occasionally include in my live gigs (not done any dead ones yet!).

  • @Owdfolkie

If you ever go see this guy playing LIVE then you will eat your words Mr accordion playing morris dancer. He is not flashy at all and is definately not boring but you'd only know that if you really know what you're talking about which you very clearly don't.

Go see him first before you make derogatory comments mate you're just showing yourself up !

  • Seeing him live is amazing & he has a wonderful voice, too.

  • Looks better than it is....

  • you suck i can play 4 guitars and eat a bowl of spaghetti at the same time

  • WOAH. YES.

  • Hi saw Rodney at the Merchant City Festival in Glasgow, last week, fantastic, and the best thing, he was positively charming

  • I don't care if its a gimmick, i love it!

  • My Fiance jammed with this dude! How kool is that? He plays is second-nature, like there's nothin to it?! I'm just amazed as i watch him. He;s beyond what talented means.....

  • i just saw him yesterday at blue rock. The man plays a mean guitar!

  • hee is playing on hofner guitars i have one like that :D

  • One of his guitars is a Fender (between his knees) and the other is a 12 string Yamaha.

  • I've seen him plenty of times live. He's fun to watch, but it's pretty much just a gimmick when he does this kind of stuff. I mean, he's a good guitar player and singer live, but probably anyone who's ambidextrous and plays the guitar can do this. Actually he's just strumming pretty much with his right hand, so it's not really impressive. That Michael Angelo dude is more impressive at two handed stuff, but he's a huge tool. Haha.

  • ok why cant you just be appreciative of the fact that he is a talented guy....why do you have to belittle it by saying anyone ambitexterous can do it. just say he is freaking awesome and thats it.

  • My penis is huuuuuuuuuuuuge.

  • I agree...

  • i agree with the tool part but i dunno if he's better, comes down to the whole different styles arguement lol, know what you mean bout the gimmick thing too but still its bloody impressive nonetheless

can imagine it'd get a bit old if you've seen him a few times

  • i saw him a day before..we had a chat for 20 min or so ..very nice guy..and my comments were i was not at a music show but a magic show..

  • He is awsome he performed for my music appreciation class and was really nice about it. I wish I would have made it to his small concert in Alb. but he is great.

  • this guy is amazing, what i really find interesting is his ability to actually hold the guitars unlike everyone else using stands for their second guitar.

  • i kno rodney... it is sooo funny.... my dad and him are like best friends!!!! and my aunt used to babysit him... my dad actually helped him with his first album... he is on tour right now(in a different continent, i am sooo happy 4 him) but befor he goes to a different country again he is going to play in amarillo!!!! and help me with my strings! he is sooo nice!!!!

  • Saw this guy yesterday at the Balham and Tooting Carnival, he was amazing. :D

  • Amazingly talented, saw him at the small festival, "Tribal Earth". Not only is he exceptional at guitar he is a funny guy.

  • Bet hes good a ballet

  • now that u think of it its 3 guitars cause one of them has 12 strings

  • i also caught him at glasto...

walked past on wednesday night i think it was and saw a guy tuning up two guitars.

i was stoned off my face too. :D

  • Saw him in the Left Field Tent at Glasto, he was AWESOME, got his CD and autograph.

  • Saw him at glasto in a lil stage tent, he is amazing!!!!...so amazing that i watched him again the night after!...plus he looks hot too now :)

  • also saw him at glasto, twice!

    was amazing

  • dudde, fucking awesome, but ge a friend and lend him 1 guitarr xD

  • Thats shit man, his partner didnt turn up

  • Ahahahaah :D

    No but seriously, waw !

  • And if you like guitar played well, search for Rodrigo y Gabriela :D

  • holly shit mann this guy is trully talented

  • Este tipo sí que está cabrón!!!

  • I love my rodney! <3 ...

He's so much more skilled now though =) ..

Had the great oppertunity of drinking with the guy ;P .. And i've been his micman XD .. *is cool cause he knows a famous guy* ..

  • this is awsome

    never seen anything like it!!!

  • led zeppelin.

  • ccrazzzyyy

  • he is so talented

  • pffft yeah, well id like to see you pick up 2 guitars and try and play like that.

shit, its hard enough learning how to play one at a time.

  • I had the opportunity to host an open mic one night and Rodney came in, and after a few drinks he bet he could play two guitars and percussion at the same time. We all laughed and after a few minutes we had acquired about $1100. Rodney said he would pay double if he could not do this. He sweetened the deal and said he would play 3 guitars with same deal. As you can see he made $1100 and free drinks all night, that is why he does it because he can.

  • i saw this guy when he came to texas, it was really unbelievable

  • THIS IS MY FAV VIDEO ON UTUBE

  • he went to school with my uncle.

  • he was amazing at weyfest! shame he only played 3 songs when i saw him :/

  • he played twice at the wey fest.. think in his second set he did a lot more new / experimental stuff. have a look at my post Rodney Branigan guitar drumming

  • god's gift to mankind sublime mine heart tis true he pulls me out of deep blue rifts and lifts me up to breathe wispy clouds of imagination stretching time across my horison i see hope rising like a flaming phoenix high flying i'm dying but their is more life in his strings so i let the notes wash over my dreams back to where my heart sings

  • Dude, that's deep.

  • wow

    !

  • that was bad ass dude

  • i saw this guy last week in austin, he is amazing & has a great voice too!

  • nice work mate

  • i've seen him years ago back in los angeles... he's actually a very good singer... he's really great!

  • shut up

  • he is really good guitarist and showman, but this really isn't quite as hard as you probably think this technique he is using is very similiar to many single guitar struming techiniques where you change fingerings while staying with the same rhythm this means you really only have to pay attention to the fingering hand but i am not criticizing him he is talented but one could learn to do this much easier than it looks.

  • Be quiet.

  • oh shit!

  • He's not talented, just a virgin :P

  • haha! obsessive guitarist syndrome

  • Yeah That's Rock good work keep on!!

  • Yay! Another guitar gimmick! You and Trace Bundy should get together. If you are going to be a musician, how's about playing some music!

    Yuck.

  • keep rocking from you friends in Belle Vegas

  • Whats the deal, amarillo needs a dose of some good ol rodney.

  • I've loved this guy's music since the first time I heard him play. It was in Amarillo, TX, 1999. I had to have play my restaruant after that. It was an El Chico and man did he draw a good crowd. He was amazing then and he is amazing now. Thanks for entertaining us Rodney.

  • I'm packing my shit right now and moving to Utah. If this video is any indication, Utah is where it's at!

  • dude, Utah is not "where it's at." Unless of course you are talking about Morman women, salt flats and no liqour. Yeah Utah is right where "it" is at.

  • I would own him in a dance off

  • What's a DRUMBS? = This guy is GREAT! Just try donig this at home!

  • Is it just me, or is the it out of synch. . . ?

  • problably quite good att playin the drumbs aswell ;P

  • He has tuned his white Guitar into a Dropped Tuning, with the other hand he plays legato chords.

  • Both Guitars are open tuned.

  • Yeah, probably i D or the likes

  • Wrong and wrong again. Good effort though buddy. The guitars are tuned to Open C. To achieve this tuning, start with your low E and tune it to C. After that it goes GCGCE. There you have it. Open C tuning.

  • This is inFUCKINGcredible

  • lol

  • Omg, Branigan! This name kicks ass ^^..

    -> Captain Branigan @Futurama ;)

  • lol

  • awesome

  • Unbelievable!!!!
