Jesus just wants to pick up all of His hurting children in His arms and tell them just how much He loves them!
We have people in our own church who are "sexually immoral" and they don't understand that they are. Loving them and showing them by example is what we should do, NOT judging them throwing them out of the church! Let the Holy Spirit work in them and show them the right way and in THE LORD'S TIMING!!
Your intentions should be pure, you can minister to those broken and hurting becareful how you associate yourself with them who practice manafesting sin. Some people are hungry for authentic love and are in strongholds that prevent the Holy Spirit to fight the good fight. Pray for them and wait on God to give you the answer how to help them... dont hang out with them
Excellent sermon! Real purity begins with....ME! As a born-again Believer, I realize I must "judge myself" by repenting of any sins I have committed. Then, when I see the sins other Christians commit, I can pray for them in humility - a trait I cannot produce on my own apart from Christ. True change in church and society always starts with the individual.
I don't know why, but this reminds me of something I heard a pastor say one time.
"I invited someone to church one time and he said, 'church is so full of hypocrits, I don't think I want to go', so I told him, 'well, when you're ready to visit, there's always room for one more.'"
Haha, anyways. FC's book was great, also. I can't wait for his new one coming out in the Fall.
I've been studying this passage for some time now and comparing it to the way we do things as an American church. It saddens me that when Christ comes back for the American church in particular, he'll come back for a whore, not a pure, flawless bride.
Although I'm not concerned about what "christians" think of me, it gets depressing day after day when I don't have someone pushing me along. It's nice to know that there is someone else out there who is actually reading the bible ;-)
You know what. You are so right. Us christians need to become true disciples and love with the compassion of Christ alone. Love you and pray that God continues to work on your heart.
Thank you so much for this. I so agree. My heart has been so burdened where I am as I watch growth "in people" and also in worldy influence where I worship. We must continue to pray that His truth will cleanse the impurities that are infiltrating His church.

God's truth coming thru to us. God really is raising up some very sold-out leaders in the American church...I just pray that we are listening.

Franchis speaks truth. Bless him, for the time is near when Jesus will come for her bride (true bride, the church).
