@nik416 This show was in Monroe, NC and it was an all day event, way to many ww2 warbirds to mention, about anything you can think of including bombers and transport planes

Amazing! That must have been awesome to see in person. Kudos to you for sharing that experience with your son too! I'm sure that will stick with him a lot longer than reading about it in a text book (that is assuming WWII is still being taught in our public schools these days)

@tacticalcode I dont know if the do it at this location every year, but the subjects that put on the show, Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wing, put on shows all year around the country

wow that was freaking kool brother!, what a great time to spend with your lad. So true on the vintage aircraft, was very lucky to see Battle of Britian renactment when i served in the RMC's. We had Remembrace Day (Armistice Day) 11am 11/11/2010, met up with a bro frm old squad and after had a few quite ales, respect and honour to all who have fallen in the service of their countries. Great vid bro, thank you for taking us along with you, best wishes and take care brother.

@sabr686 Hey brother, it was a great show, lasted about half the day, we saw fighters and bombers and transport type planes flying, it was pretty impressive. And yes that was the grand finale, it was well over ten minutes

@brotherskeepers111 Every year, we have one of the biggest air shows on the continent in the nearby city of Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Displays include everything from a Wright Brothers replica to the new F-22 fighter, and all sorts of foreign aircraft, both fixed wing and rotators. I used to go when I was younger, but it's in the 110 degree heat of August and I got way too many sunburns over the years, so I just watch it on the tube now. Thanks for showing it, BK.

Damn shame too, they aren't called the greatest generation for nothing! It looks like you and your son had a great time, maybe I'll take my boy to one soon. Did they have any planes from the European theatre, like the ME262? I love that thing.

@DeleteMeOnline Its actually a small civilian airport, the group that put on the show are the Commemorative Air Force-Dixie Wing, and most of the pilots are former and current military pilots of various branches. One of the pilots there was an Air Force Officer who is currently an astronaut.

Cool vid, I've been to many an air show and never get tired of them. I've got stills of A LOT of different planes. I pull them out every so often to look at them and remember. :-))

@SurviveN2 It was my sons first airshow and he has not stopped talking about it all week. The funny thing is he knew alot of the planes, he has seen most of them in his video games.

@ernest302 Hey brother, yea the video doesnt do it justice. I had a chance to meet some WWII veterans at the show, there are not many of them left, I believe they were the greatest generation. They knew about sacrifice and honor, and love for this great country and that freedom is worth fighting and dying for.
