  • I'm not a beggar, or a foreigner I have a shelter, a refuge A free homeland, a happy country A happy, happy country Docile stork, stork that brings lucky The springtime stork, the summer stork Near my house it lives, docile stork In the tree, it laments for a den At the top of the poplar Stork, praise gladly with me at the mountain pasture and at the tent With the herds in the grassland Cultivated soil, gardens, land full of flowers Flowers, flowers, land full of flowers.

  • give us more of Armenian music, greetings from Croatia

  • LOVE IT!!! i cried the first time!

  • A very good thing about this guy is his pride on his roots, unlike many other non-American musicians that made their careers in the US and nobody knows about their ancestry.

  • GREAT !!!!

  • i have heard this song about 1,000 times and it is still fresh. This song is powerful.

  • Bravo à Jérôme....

  • Love it!!! The combination of the lyrics with the passion of Serj's voice, touched my heart. It almost made me cry...

  • Just AMAZING

  • It's not bad... it's different than what I'm used to.

  • I think Serj is born in Lebanon during the armenian genocide. There is actually a very big armenian community in Lebanon. The Turks did the same to the Lebanese christians during the occupation.

  • @WakamolyTheGreatest

Actually Serj's Grandfather ran away to a Greek Orphanage during the Genocide, but when he got older he moved to Lebanon, then Serj's Father was born, then Serj.

  • is the other guy his father Oo

  • @leichivanhell er...yes.

  • If you listen to this song a thousand and one times, you'll start to understand every word of it. Thumbs up if you're almost there.

  • @leoporks true music transcends language. totally agreed with you here. the passion, emotion, and pride put into this song speaks more than any words in any language will ever speak. true art trascends borders and language. serj makes me so proud of my armenian heritage! my great grandmother narrowly escaped the genocide..if she didnt, i wouldnt be here today typing this. so proud!

  • @leoporks

Already understood it the first time, I'm Armenian =]

  • @wearelegion489 what is the song about? i have no idea what its saying..

  • @leoporks no, you are lying, 5 thousand times an not a clue of the meaning of the words

  • Comment removed

  • cant understand but, a fabulous song, i love you and your father...

  • Who cares who disliked it. Not worth the time or argument. Serj, from the metal world, WE ARE FUCKING PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fucking amazing!! I've been listening to this song for about 30 mins already. No joke!

  • at the 1 who disliked this, i ask you, why????

  • @sikkazzfool89

Because he must be a turkish nationalist.simple...

  • I could listen to this masterpiece every day

  • @pchelamaja88 I already do =D

  • press Dislike if you turk

  • @PASH004 huh? you want Turks to dislike this song?

well I got some bad news for you, I like this song

  • WOWWW

  • siempre quise escuchar a serj hablando en armenio!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Adorei *--*

  • i may not be Armenien but Serj's ways of thought can apply to many and do have and impact on many. No matter what nationality, his inspiration has pulled me as many, through dark times in my life so far, and i'll never forget it. Serj keep it up man.

  • Great performance! thanks for sharing

  • страхотно

  • I LOVE IT :)

  • amazing!!!

  • This is quite amazing!

  • серёжка молодец

  • This is good but I would've liked it to not have been in Western Armenian since it was most definitely written by an Eastern Armenian, so it should be Bari AraGil. It is really frustrating seeing certain Arevmdahyes changing lyrics and translating original works just so the population that don't care at all to understand Eastern Armenian, can understand it better.

  • @jivanballplaya89 What do you actually hear my dear frustrated friend in this song? AraKeel or AraGil?

  • my pride stems from Serj... i cannot stress the importance of my backround and as a rebelious fukhed kid... Serj taught me to look into my history... ARMENIA... ITS MORE THAN A NATIONALITY... ITS MY FUCKING PRIDE
