  • Damn...

  • holy shit, this is rad

  • Nice, dude. You're really good.

  • Dude. Fuck yes. Screw all the people saying that you're not playing it right. Even so, playing both parts at once is impressive as hell!

  • Good job on this one, but to be honest I like the full version of the prelude better

  • Have to admit...I like his version better...SOOO much easier to play and it has that nice classical feel.

  • This only comes out of my right headphone.

    Otherwise, this is awesome.

  • enjoyed your take on it. Hopefully I do something original in my covers as well. More FF music!

  • la haces genial...

    enhorabuena

  • Nice touch Dude ;)

  • that was epic win^^

    nice one

  • This video is proof of how limited as an instrument the classical guitar is.

  • Its hard to believe the guitar cant cover that kind of range until you actually see it being played. You're adaptation is very well thought out :)

  • very pretty. i like how you did both parts at once

  • wow. VERY nice job :)

  • dude that was ausome truly a beautiful prelude i have been trying to learn how to play that but i have not had very much luck great job perfect choice of music too

  • Nice version

  • DANG! That's sweet.

  • that was beautifull!!!

  • wow.. amazing.. will be getting those tabs now!!

  • Has anyone ever told you that you look like the guitar god Mark Tremonti... and play just as cool as he dose.

  • Time for me to practice that, and master it!

  • I just found my uncle's old acoustic in the garage and thanks to this vid I'm gonna try to learn how to play! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • pnwz man

  • That takes some skill to pull off. Nice job.

  • nice fingerwork. gj on the song.

  • just amazing....brings back all those good memories...respect to all those FF7 fans out there :-)

  • My friend, you have my complete and utter respect! I haven't played my acoustic in quite a while, but I think I'll have to break it out again just to learn this!

  • damn.. great done

  • Wow you got my kudos when you played 2 rhythms. Awesome job man

  • That's so good !

  • awesome!! :D

  • must be from many practices and strong will

  • damn u hot

  • wow... this is actually the first time ive seen it played this way and im going to have to say... wow im really impressed.... good job.

  • AWESUM i like you just as much as that other guy (daniel tidwell) you're awesome with this stuff coz thats just awesum playin

  • Hi Caleb. Kudos on an awesome performance. I am trying to learn this as well. Regarding the tab you posted. You Play the Sixth section differently. Can you post your tab for me. I want to learn it your way. Thanks. By the way, what is the make and model of your classical guitar ?

  • nice

  • Oh man not you too caleb. Are you aware that you are leaving out half of the notes in each upscale? I normally wouldn't say this especially not to you. but i've found that just about all the vids on youtube leave them out. Although you brought a different acoustical view to this song this time.

  • There is a pretty practical reason for that, though. When you start arranging it, you realize that the piano can use a whole 4 octaves (and then some) to get all of the notes, but guitar (especially classical) doesn't have that kind of range. you can shave off an octave, but then you're left with 3 octave phrasings, which didn't give me the flow i was after, so I had to settle for the 2 octave runs. It was a compromise, but what can you do?

  • i see... I'll try my hand at learning this theme, so, good to be in the know.

Btw: flawless victory was flawless! awesome

  • @CalebElijah I've seen a transposition where it gets VERY close to it

  • @CalebElijah Don't wanna be rude in any way, just wanted you to know, if you didn't already that it's possible to fit all the notes in all 4 octaves on a seven-string, haha.

  • @CalebElijah Get a twelve string guitar. Problem solved.

  • amazing

  • made me get very sensitive atm..

  • Fantastic.

  • so soothing!

  • haha sick i have to learn that now..

  • yh this is bad boy

  • O_O impressive skills !

  • cool easy cool

  • beautil mate. just beautiful.

  • what inspires you to play songs of videogames? im not judging i just wanna know

  • ff7 is not just any videogame...

  • not just from VII

  • Amazing!

  • this is the best version on youtube.

but I have a question lol..

is it that your guitar is smaller than mine.

or is it that u r huge guy with big hand.

cuz for me I have to jump from fret to another while u simply move your fingers lol

    u r amazing =)

  • I think that he has very long fingers, which is very good 4 someone who wants to play guitar, like myself

  • that's a classic guitar. yours is probably an acoustic guitar

  • good job very well done

  • Is that a classical guitar? I have one so I hope yours is so we'll sound the same xD

  • Once he had hair :D

    But without you're still a hero! :-)

  • Awesome!!I am learning this now!!

    5 stars

    peace

  • Anyone else notice in the begining he skips one of the parts in the begining listed in his tab?

He skipped that third scale eque part....the one starting with fret 2 on the E string....whatever sounds fine I know...but curious if it was there or not.

  • You're right. I recorded this before I finished that version of the tabs. I may post another of these with tabs and the other part sometime.

  • Awesome, this is one of the best versions ive heard! Have you tried "To Zanarkand" from FFX? That is one of my favorite themes next to most of the FFVII soundtrack.

  • Amazing. I wish there was a bass tab for this song.

  • Phenomenal

  • Does anyone know if there is a power tab, guitar pro tab, or sheet music of this version available anywhere? I've learned everything up to the first time you play chords and then after that it gets too hard for me to learn from a simple tab =\

  • fuking beautiful.

  • love this song

  • thanks for the tabs man i got like the beginning done

  • That gives me the creeps.

  • Why?

  • the creeps? dont you mean goosebumps

  • that's the same xD

  • oh yeah lol

  • glad to see someone who really can play this piece!5/5

  • Caleb, have you considered playing the full arpeggios on this? Still sounds great tho!

  • Yepp just like the original

  • Awesome :-) Exactly like the original.

  • nice job.

  • Superb playing. Excellent! True to the original

  • Amazing!!!! Sounds romancing~~~ Keep up the good work!!!! PS: (Make it longer.....too short.....)

  • Caleb with your guitar makes such a incredible song that when I hear makes me fell a lot better, keep with you good work man

  • beautiful. very well done.

  • Bambay? You mean Balamb? XD

I'm assuming you're not a Final Fantasy fan (or maybe you're just not a Final Fantasy 8 fan). That aside, it does remind of FF8 - but in a nice way. I like this interpretation.

  • Very nice dude i loved how you kept up the scale as a constant and added the countermelody at the same time. sick

  • Love this song man i kinda rewrote it but it doesn't corretly on some of the notes i ushally play by ear.... still if anything your pritty good :D

  • nice piece,u make it look to easy,

  • aahhh why does everyone leave the high part of the upscale out?

It's supposed to keep going higher and THEN go back down. I will post a vid

  • thanks for the tab site man

  • I love all the things you do on guitar, but i have one question. Has anyone ever given you a 4-star? If they did, I couldn't imagine why.

  • jalousy!!!

  • oh my god...amazing.

  • omg awesome dude you got skills.

  • That was insane! Good job. :D

  • Amazing guitar player you are

  • That is just out of this world : ) Beautiful and skilled as allways.

Keep on doing ur thing Caleb.

    -Refden-

  • if you wanna find tabs to learn this just go to google and type it in

  • Please make a tutorial! Sorry if thats spelt wrong BUT PLEASE make one.. iv been looking for one for soo long lol

  • You can't do this!!! this should be done with 2 guitars!! but you did it with one. bravo man! much appreciated for sharing

  • Wish you did chocobo too!

  • You are an amazing guitarist!! I love your version of this!

  • Very nice! Love it :)

  • v impressive n1

  • absolutly fucking epic mate

  • Add another one to my favorites.

  • You are so damn good at taking these songs and making them sound amazing on guitar. Keep it up!

  • I think the link is broken though...

  • if the link is broken go to another of his vids and check there....

  • Your amazing man.

  • Dude, you made a really simple tune sound like an amazingly complicated piece. of course I don't play guitar so it may be the easiest thing in the world and I'm just being naive. In any way, you are an amazing dude, and did I mention we share the same name? It's true. Favorited!!!!11!

  • nah mate i play (ish) and this guys got some skills. at one point hes actually playing two seaparate parts at once. bravo man. good performance.

  • Yeah, I think I know the part your talking about. Sounds awsome!

  • Damn, you are really good. There a chance maybe in the future of you playing Cid's Theme?

  • yea, good ol' rick. anyways, all i meant by my latter statement was he'd need more strings like, 12, and all seperately tuned. instead of a standar 12-string, make it so the neck is wide like and 11-string base (jean baudin comes to mind) so like, basically a stadard sixer, with six more below at an octave higher. don't matter though, cause this guy is a musical paladin. kudos to you young caleb. avast! i must continue my journey to defeat Kefka! (groan)

  • yea, totally. now, if he had 4 hands and dude from cheaptricks guitar, that'd be a different story.

  • rick neilson (spelling questionable)

  • ;p damn im jealous, i wish i could play guitar too.

  • Practice dude...only way to get good...but i wish i was as good as this guy :P

  • why does everyone always cut it off id think itd be great to play it like the piano version

  • dude i know what ur talkin about, but im also playin this Prelude music from FF in my guitar. the full length you want is very hard to play... you have to use the whole scale of the guitar. it aint easy im tellin you. but mad props for this guy, it sounds amazin man

  • I was forced to cut it down to two octaves, due to my guitar not having the required four octaves plus a little. i ran out of notes. i have enough for 3 octaves, but that messes with the rhythm of the piece, so i had to stick with two.

  • Final fantasy <3

  • you... are... the man caleb

  • ok now that was insane...

  • i request u guys to play silence of the storm theres one guy on this site who did it nice.. i think u guys can pull it off well..

  • That's dope.

  • Fuckin awesome man.

  • Thats very very nice. 5/5 ofcourse. Btw the tabs site doesn't seem to work :(

  • id knew there was a way to play that on a guitar but frecking WOW that was the most beatyful way to play a guitarr i ever seen

  • This was FUCKING INSANELY BEAUTFFUL. Flat out the best guitar video I have ever seen. I am IMPRESSED beyond expectation. FAVD

  • this is a 5-star 4u :)

  • im seriously crying from some strange emotion each time i hear this guy.... O.o

  • You should try 'To Zanarkand' on guitar.

  • Yeah ı would love to hear "To zanarkand" from FFX:)

  • well done man. really clean and great tone too.

  • Amazing, I have NEVER seen this in ALL MY LIFE!!!

  • Wow..that was so brilliant. O___O

  • That looks so complicated to play! good job

  • its kinda of the crystal theme ... this song plays every time you see a crystal hehe

  • brings out lot of memories :)

  • very well done final fantasy 10

  • Which final fantasy is this from?

    p.s. good job :)

  • is from FF1 and by the way the soong sounds good

  • This is a theme in almost all (If not all) of the FF games.

  • This theme is actually found in one way or the other in ALL Final Fantasy games. FFIX, for example, had it at on the "The End" screen at the end, FFX had a remixed version at the first cutscene when Tidus is coming out.

  • i have a question ? Do you take lesson of classic ? Because your technique is very good! I'm impressed!! Again Your play very well!

  • Beautiful. Every bit as good as the original.

  • I can play this.

    ...

    ...

    ...

  • ...Memories T_T

  • AMAZING nice :P

  • Who cares about which sounds better, he nailed the song, and it's an awesome song. ++

  • Apples and Oranges guys. They are both fruit but you can really compare them. Just like they are both playing the same song, but you cant really compare paino to guitar.
