There are so many people making/were making 3d Legend of Zelda games.

It's kinda sad that everyone who starts these quits after awhile ): It would be great if people like you and all the other people who are/were making these games woudl join up together and make a game...

Yeah well, it's pretty old now, maybe somebody already told you before, but the specular-shadder (Bumb/Normalmap) makes it look like a underwater house ...

Try to make it look more like mud, that would look much better ... Keep it on, a game like Link to the Past 3D would be great ;-)

@autonomous2010 i used the light to show some of the details i had made, thats why i had it going all over the place, was making the light hit everything that the camera didn't directly show. thank you for the comment )

who said it's milk bottles? none of the four bottles are refered as one. just because it's milk in OoT doesn't mean the same here. first: OoT was released later. second: Link has pink hair in ALttP - in all the other games it's blonde - so you can't say "it was in the one game, it's the same in the other"!

@9snaker its nice to find people passionate enough about zelda to care whether I said it was a bottle or a milk bottle but honestly they look more like milk bottles to me.. i wasnt thinking of oot at all and second I always thought that pink part was part of his hat and looked into it, no one really knows because theres no hard fact saying its his hair or his hat but someone pointed out that when you turn into a bunny in the dark world his hair is pink also so it makes a pretty good argument.

yeah this was my first attempt at a house over a year ago. every time i look at this i see how i could have done better and is part of why there is no door or why theres not allot of other things as well because i realized i wanted to just start over, this was practice more then made to be complete so any constructive criticism is almost wasted at this point. some day ill create a new, better version from scratch but until then the redo video is as good as this one gets.

yeah i wanted to use the original music that was played in his house but i couldnt find it anywhere, and i can only use mp3's using this crappy windows movie maker, i just got a copy of adobe after effects though so ill be learning how to use that now too, but yeah if you have some original music, link me to it =) (no pun intended)

I did like ww , but it has a style to it that doesn't really match this.

just minamize the depth on the texture of the walls and spoof the house a little bit.

like 2 logs for the sides of the doorway , and a log on top of those 2 logs for the top of the doorway.

i know this is just a demo.

Whatever you make in the end will probably be great too .

and like i said up top none of the things in this video are final. but that door is staying that width - ill be changing the textures though.

its not supposed to be realistic man, its supposed to look like that, thats what Shigeru Miyamoto has always been about, non realistic - thats why when everyone was pissed off that wind waker looked like a cartoon he kept going with his idea because zelda was never supposed to be realistic.

trust me i know about realistic, more than anything. ive always had the eye for every little detail that makes anything look more real. but thats not what zelda is about. thats not what it was created to be.

hey thanks man, im glad you like it, yeah i get all nostalgic sometimes and i had been wanting to see this kind of thing for a long time..

and theres going to be more videos of it too, this was just a short demo of my progress pretty much, like a teaser trailer, eventually ill have the lost woods also with the master sword in its pedestal.. its gunna be pretty sweet when its all through )
