Forget about them, once their so heavily submerged in corrosive salt water, the whole thing is basically a 3,000 pound pile of crap. Water damaged vehicles almost always fail catastrophically due to damaged electrical and electronic components. There are places that restore the vehicle with new apholstry, and a nice aftermarket car stereo, but without replacing all of the car's components, electrical system, and everything else, your just covering up the fact that it was damaged.
I don´t understand, why have all these cars been abandoned? They did´nt all look like they were trashed by the hurricane? Why just leave your car like that?
Google earth New Orleans you can see huge junkyards of cars, one airport has 1000's of the toxic trailers. It will never be cleaned up. It's a decades long 100's trillion dollars haliburton private no bid contract.........
I remember that exact spot when I was in New Orleans one year post Katrina. I was in shock to see how little was done to clean up the mess. If I remember right there wasnt really a desirable car in the bunch. It looked like a cheap used car lot sort of vehicle.

Take these cars and put 24 inch rims on them and sell them back to the blacks and mexicans for twice their value.

I'm sure the more desirable cars were subject to the will of those who were moving the vehicles around and putting them in lots like this one.

EVERY vehicle in these pictures were cleaned up, detailed and sent to Mexico for quick sale. Oh, and some made it to your local used car lot, also.
Enjoy !

What a shame, some nice cars and trucks that probably still run...I would have liked to have that red Dodge truck at 0:15....
