A couple of things -- the tempos are a bit fleet, but it's a joy to watch them perform. Notice how the flutist pays attention to both the conductor and the strings at 7:36. Very nice. This isn't a musical observation, but I love how the lights dance on the flute at this angle as well. I almost looks alive.
@bourboulakos well..I think that performances of a lot of classical music these days have lack of emotion and played too fast!..it's just played to get the job done!!..where are the Klemperers, Walters and Celibidaches of this world now???
Dvorak's 7th, symphony: he tried to write an abstract work to mark a difference from his other works, where the nationalistic vein fluorished, taking Brahms as a model he composed one of his more mature and convincing scores, premiered in 1885
I play clarinet and I am playing this with my orchestra this year. I adore the opening theme with the clarinet solo. So much beauty and emotion. :)

I think I am in love with one of the female flutist. Gorgeous women, gorgeous music.

dvorak 9 gets all the credit, but this is very underrated, and i love this orchestra's interpretation. well done!

A great symphony. My favorite mouvement : the third, a fantastic lesson about the difference between 6/4 and 3/2 ... :)

Lack of emotion. It is performed as if they are in a hurry to finish it

A lot of compression in the in the sound recording, almost no dynamic range. Do you agree?
Notice the Flautist? Apart from being hot, she always looks at the conductor - learn from that and you can go far (even to Honk Kong...)
