This trailer is an action version of the classic Resident Evil world... it looks exciting... yet the movies couldnt get anything like this in what 4 movies? The RE movies are a joke anyway, they have about as much to do with the RE games than I do to the Vietnam war

I gave up watching them but i remember that all of America (or the world, I don't know) is overrun but Umbrella is still doing combat research -_- HOW MUCH FUCKING DATA DO YOU NEED IF (at least) A WHOLE FUCKING COUNTRY IS GONE! ... @jameshumphreys93 True that, I remember watching the first one in the cinema with a giddy glee at seeing things like Umbrella and what not on the big screen, this giddiness slowly faded when I realised it was more loosely based on the games. I mean why reinvent a story when the RE universe is so rich!

As for what youre saying about the research side of things, Youre bang on, I gave up on them after the second one... I caught the second half of the last one (what number are they even upto now)

@jameshumphreys93 in the game story line, the virus has not spread all over the world like the movies boasted about. the movies follow a different plot line as well as time line. i dont know why the movie directors and writers went a different path but in the games the only major outbreak was in raccoon city. various locations like spain and africa were not outbreaks but very modified versions of the virus being sold or something to control the population of those people.

@ChuckFan17 Yeah I know, that's why i'm showing off about the film haha... using the storyline of the game they have the potential of making a kick ass film (as the Resident Evil universe is so in depth). But instead they keep on making films which is just full of references. Also because they (the films) don't remotely follow the games they don't make since. like in resident evil 2, Jill knows to shoot zombies in the head and nemesis is killing star members :S... WHY?! haha

Actually, it shouldn't mess with the originals too terribly much. There is a lot of empty space that still needs to be filled in, we know there was at least one US special forces team of some capacity on site (who set up the rail gun in RE3?) and there were quite a few USS teams sent in (at least four). If they do it right, it'll be fine
