  • How do you record your project (for example) me playing a song?

  • Does anyone know how to change the quantize amount? for example from 1/8 to 1/32? im playing a pattern but maschine keeps moving the notes too much even when i only quantize by 50% one time. Thank you

  • @metalheadshstylr hit and hold the grid button, then you select a quatization amout by hitting a pad, the screen above the pads displays the amounts the pads represent.

by holding the grid button you can also select quantizing modes through the left knob under the screens: none, play, play and record.

  • when I follow this tutorial and hit the play button, it starts playing the kit in a sequence automatically without me pushing any pads in.. any help thnx

  • I haz a question :) When for example I press a pad twice, really quickly, it plays the entire soundn, so they both get layered on top of each other, which makes it sound weird, is there any way to make it so when I press a pad, the sound the pad makes cuts off all the other pads that are playing?

  • @Itachitobisaga your describing choke groups... look for something to do with choke in the manual.

  • @Itachitobisaga put them all on the same choke group

  • when i quantize the track it pushes everything way too much so that it completely messes up the beat. Anyone know why this is happening? I was quantizing yesterday and it was fine, then all of a sudden it started doing it.

  • @ivorubio try putting them on the same choke group, also a reverb or long decay in the envelope may cause overlapping

  • how do u make the loop bigger? i.e. from 1 bar to 4 bars?

  • @Patritz just press pattern and set by knob 1 4.0 bars

  • @lastascan thanks

  • un sous titrage en francais serai bien plus simple merci

  • @BradenTaylorMusic

  • @BradenTaylorMusic I think 808, not sure tho'

  • 2:23 This guy has some nice ass ears.

  • how do u turn off the sensitiv mode???

  • @LafayetteH Hold the "pad mode" button and then press function button #4 "Fixed Vel" (above the left LCD display). This will toggle full level mode.

  • @DamianMajor do u also know how to turn it off on the micro version?

  • @Rif11Raf go to file and then select new.

  • erry time i press play the machine plays a pre recorded mix...how do i record from scratch?

  • @Rif11Raf you need to select a blank pattern. Hit the "Pattern" button and tap a pad that's not lit up.

  • The drum machine sounds actually ok but you think native instruments could make a youtube video that doesn't sound like crap

  • I WANT THIS FUCKING HARDWARE!!!!!!!!

  • @graveey i just got i and i dont know what im doing., its hot though

  • @illwilkm82 me too

  • I think I've seen this guy at disney land with all the other kids.

  • Ever see the movie Powder?

  • @Tuckleberryfin no but I watch Smallville a lot

  • can you bypass the maschine softwares sequencer and use logic's timings if you have mpc preset quantizing?

  • is there a way to undo quantizization without pressing undo?

  • Quantization is the devil.

  • @dante666diaz A necessary devil

  • what resources would you recommend to learn drum patterns and whatnot?

  • @marksclimax Learn to play the drums.

  • @dante666diaz lol sounds like a smart ass answer but its serious ahaha

  • hey guys... getting really stressed out here... sometimes the quantize function just doesnt seem to want to work?? any thoughts?

  • MASCHINE IS FUCKING AWESOME

  • this brand is so cool and awesome at the same time

  • does this thing take batteries or something. lol i dont see a power supply, only the usb

  • @CStig89 I know your question is 2 mos old...but it is a usb device so your pc powers it :)

  • @CStig89 thats just the controller. maschine is the actual software. it only needs a usb because it only runs on a computer

  • when i record it never loops correctly and the program makes it off time?

    help please.

  • @WeeklyGameFame if you hit "shift" and "Rec" at the same time, it will give you a four beat count in. If you start your live recording (of a drum beat or whatever it is) at the beginning of the scene and play for the duration of the scene (the default is four beats) it will loop right. I had the same problem. If you want to play for more than four beats just extend the length of the scene, or play for four beats and then duplicate the scene with "pattern" and "duplicate"

  • @mc568731 thank you so much!

  • @WeeklyGameFame press shift and play to turn the metronome on/off ... also RTFM

  • @WeeklyGameFame Also look at you latency :)

  • When i load a kit and press play to record, the kit has a preset beat that plays. how can i load a kit and not have the preset beat play without having to delete all the orange boxes that make it up by double clicking each of them? (im new to maschine, sorry if the question is stupid)

  • @222ocho Also, the source of the problem is that when loading a kit you have the "pattern" option checked (look it up, it's on the top right corner area). Uncheck it and the kit will load patternless. And no worries, there are no stupid questions!

  • lol i love having a vulcan teach me to use maschine

  • 0:19

you say press the play button and thats what I do put music that i havent made starts playing? I want to select a kit and use the sounds for my own choice of beat not a pre made one.

  • you say press the play button and thats what I do put music that i havent made starts playing? I want to select a kit and use the sounds for my own choice of beat not a pre made one.

  • i fuckin press shift pad 6 and shift pad 5 and nothing happens. wtf.

  • @ThaDopist

maybe you played your notes almost flawlessly? that is the quantize button lol you wont hear a difference if you played your notes well ESPECIALLY at 50% quantize lol

  • @atlantistml I had the same problem, just go into FILE then uncheck SYNC TO EXTERNAL MIDI CLOCK! Hope this helps you, let me know!

  • @amoto333 hey i dont see what your talking about, im having the same problem with the play button and cant figure out how to get the button to work. PLEASE HELP!

  • Just wondering, I try and press play and it doesnt work. Does this mean my buttons broken? I just bought it yesterday, but the play button won't come on at all

  • this thing is a beast

  • whats metrenome???

  • @pntballer310 click click click click click

  • @HxCShredder I think it's more like Ping pongpongpong Ping pongpongpong :P

  • @pntballer310 get out of the music game if you don't know that

  • I followed this tutorial exactly. With my kit i selected loaded into group A, i press play to begin recording, and when i do the kit begins to play a beat all on it's own and i can't figure out why or how to turn it off. Also, i've set up my maschine so it displays exactly the same as the one in the video, but in the left lcd display under "Type", in the video it is set to "off", but i do not have the "off" option when i scroll through the options under knob 4. WHY???

  • @minipops77 when you load a preset kit it loads patterns with that kit. from the hardware, you can select an empty pattern by holding down the pattern button and then hitting any pad which is not lit up. on the software, look for the the area just above where all the midi notes appear and you should see a row of buttons like "A1", "A2", up through "A16". select one of them which is not lit up, or right click on one that is lit up and hit "reset" to delete the pattern that comes with it.

  • @DJDaycore thanks for this ...but um still facing the same problem....

  • yay

  • puf puf puf pyf tuf tuf tyf tuf thish shit is goood
