I think Bob Dylan of our time, since not very much poets have come to impress me in the 21st century and Dylan is still active. The best of all, of course Charles Baudelaire. Pete is nice though. But it would be very silly to call Pete the greatest poet of our time.

yeah there is a difference between a poet and a musician right. Poetry can be music of course, but music doesn't have to be poetry. I'm even doubtful to call Dylan a poet. You see, those guys, Dylan, Cohen etc. they are troubadours, minstrels. I think guys like T.S. Eliot, they're poets.

Yeh, I agree but Cohen has certainly earned the title. He's released a few really great poetry books, unlike most of the others.
