  • You cannot pray to anyone or anything else other than G-d.

  • @KuwaitF22

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here.

  • Kabane. may I suggest you change your header title to "A Jew Disproves Christianity in 5 minutes Response". Peace...

  • Wonderful!

  • Evolution would say death and struggle lead to man. The Bible would say death came about by the sin of the first man Adam and passed upon all living things.

  • Awesome vid. Those 3 OT Trinity scriptures you pulled out were GOLD! Especially the Gen19:24 because I hadn't noticed that one before. Now I have a few new verses added to the arsenal.

    May God bless you

  • Fair enough lad and thank you for the reference. I am not sure if I find this distinction convincing but I will be most interested to read that text.

You are generous for replying to comments.

  • I want to thank you for undertaking a response to this and to Geoasher for bringing it up in the first place. And I pray that both of you continue this discourse as the two fine intellects that you are in the spirit of truth and concilliation

  • Kabanethechristian is ferociously intelligent and articulate. The knowledge of scripture is impressive. The arguments are articulate and he shows a dogged insistence on deconstructing point by point. I stipulate all of this.

I could argue just as passionately about the back-catalogue of Metallica and it would have the same relevance as the actual content of Kabanes arguments. He's passionate about that, I'm passionate about metal. Each has no more relevance than the other.

  • @arklowrockz

    lol.

  • @KabaneTheChristian Lad I apologise for going horrifically off-topic here but I have heard you state elsewhere that you accept evolution and cosmology and hold these to be perfectly compatible with scripture in general and Christianity specifically. Now please, lad, Genesis, you can't possibly be asserting that that writing is any more than fable. But its the basis for the entirety of the rest of scripture. Does this not give you major pause?

  • @arklowrockz

Genesis 1 is not an account of material creation, but of functional creation. The only real reference to material creation that I see is in Gen 1:1. John Walton has released an excellent book on this subject called "The Lost World of Genesis One" and is working on a lengthier monograph on the subject. Essentially, Genesis 1 describes the consecration of the universe as God's Temple.

It gives me no pause whatsoever. I worked through these issues long ago.

  • Kabane, you are confusing "kingdom" with dynasty or throne! Because of Solomon's idolatry, Solomon's kingdom failed. However, God's clear promise that a descendant of Solomon's would be king is not thereby contradicted.

  • @psandbergnz

My next videos in this series deal with this objection.

  • Great response video

  • When the followers in the first Christian era saw that the geneology of Jesus birth didn't match, they put in a comment not to discuss the genealogy of Jesus. As seen in 1 Timothy: 1:4 "...nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God’s work—which is by faith."

  • @Tzedaqyal

No, that's not the point of the text at all. The Greek for genealogy there isn't the same word used in the gospels for the genealogies of Jesus. It is unique word which is only used twice in the New Testament, and it refers to the endless genealogies of the Gnostic aeons. Paul is condemning Gnosticism.

  • you look like ryan harrison the tennis player

  • The Rabbi Just OWNED you.

  • @Passion613

lol dude, I actually have my response completed. It should be out tomorrow or this weekend

  • @KabaneTheChristian real talk son real talk. dont go against elder people with far more knowledge on scripture.

Also, Orthodox Church is breaking the 2nd commandment, when u bowing to yo icons. Stop it, repent.

  • @snorlaxlove

First, I am not going to bow to that tactic. There are people who are eighty who agree with me and people who are sixteen and disagree. I absolutely refuse to use age, rather than arguments and evidence, as a standard for judging the truth.

Second, if you seriously think I have never heard this before, you need to think again. The Seventh Ecumenical Council gave quite a detailed refutation of the heresy of iconoclasm. Read Exodus 25, where the Lord commands iconography.

  • @snorlaxlove

Then, look at the Jewish synagogues at and immediately after the time of Christ. They were packed with icons of the patriarchs and prophets of the Hebrew Bible. Likewise, the earliest Christian churches contained icons of Christ, Mary, and the Saints. Peace.

  • @Passion613 aye.

  • @snorlaxlove

    Hey dude, check this out:

    tinyurl(.)com/3q3tnbx

He's older than you! And he agrees with me! Two can play this game.

  • @KabaneTheChristian Kid...you just got owned in the worst way imaginable way

and your best defense is .....

    [drum roll please]

People older than you agree with you???

    This is comedy....................right?

  • @straygypsy

Did you read the comments? Snorlaxlove above asserted that because the rabbi was older than me, it was silly of me to disagree with him. So I showed that it's a silly standard to use, because people older than the rabbi agree with me. By his standards, then, the rabbi should agree with them. See the contradiction? It really helps when you click "All Comments" and actually read exactly what I was responding to.

Anyways, my "best defense" is a 45+ minute rebuttal of every single...

  • @straygypsy

...point that the rabbi made. It's recorded, but I don't really want to release it tonight because it won't get many views if I do. It will be released tomorrow, sometime around noon. Stay tuned.

  • @KabaneTheChristian OH BOY! I CAN'T WAIT!

    (yawn)

  • @straygypsy

I'm noticing a distinct lack of argument here.

  • @KabaneTheChristian Oh don't worry, You will get a truck load this weekend. I'm one of those weird people that actually has a job..

  • @straygypsy

Are you planning on doing a video or preparing a PM? Don't just post text commentary please, it gets very messy in long arguments.

  • @KabaneTheChristian he can agree wit u all he wants, hes also worshipping idols.

2nd commandment, booya-yaa. u rollin with icons is breaking it.

    Swag.

  • @snorlaxlove

hahah, kind of missed the point, eh? Your point was that the rabbi was older, therefore I shouldn't contend with him. I pointed to someone older than the rabbi.

Anyways, nice response to my argument! Are you at all familiar with the synagogue archaeology? Ancient Jewish synagogues were packed with iconography. God commands iconography in Exodus 25. Asserting that "icons=idols" is just that- an assertion. And unless you provide any evidence for it, no reason to take it seriously.

  • @snorlaxlove

Further, the ancient Hebrew concept of a "graven image" was not any depiction, but a specific kind of depiction. In the surrounding pagan cultures, they would create a statue or an image as a "contact point" between the gods and man. Thus, the god would descend into the statue and they could make requests of it there. That's not at all the ancient Jewish or Orthodox Christian view of iconography. Please dude, I beg you to read the other side before trotting out old chestnuts.

  • @KabaneTheChristian well, where can i read the other side? where can i read orthodox christians defending their views somewhere?

    Swag.

  • @snorlaxlove

First, read the canons of the Seventh Ecumenical Council. Second, read St. John of Damascus, "In Defense of the Holy Icons." Third, watch David P Withun's latest video series on Christian iconography. youtube(dot)com/davidpwithun

  • You are STILL the man!

Been a long time. Hope you're doing well. Wiser than ever. Can't believe you're 18. Been watching you since you were 12.

    MAKE MORE VIDS!

    Peace.

  • @theman77777777232 6 years ago utube didnt exist

  • Wow, you look so much better with your haircut. I don't know why you would want to hide your eyes. You have nice eyebrows.

  • Nice hairdo:).

  • Glad to see your latest vid! Peace be with you! :-)

  • This is why you shouldn't make videos that are only 5 minutes.

  • how old are you young man?

  • @FatGnomeTribute

    I am eighteen.

  • Haircut looks good

  • So young and wise...are you going to become a pastor or bible teacher?

  • @Oddityworld

I'm planning on going into the Orthodox priesthood.

  • @KabaneTheChristian I'm trying to prove that your defending a religion that contradicts itself at every turn. For as much as you know about the Bible, you should know the 1st Commandment. Now how does that fit in with praying to Jesus and G-d, and then saying both are one?

  • @KuwaitF22

Um, because we don't believe that Jesus is another god besides the one speaking in Exodus.

  • @KabaneTheChristian I never said that you believe he's another god. But G-d is One. Saying there is a trinity is blasphemy because you are comparing man to G-d. Praying to Jesus and G-d is blasphemy. And making yourself a carved image of anything (you believe) to be in the Heavens above is idolatry.

  • @KuwaitF22 John 10:30

  • @Oddityworld He chose to be part of the problem rather than the solution.

  • @nnix

    lol

  • Very great good sir. Are you studying in that specific field ? Because it's really detailed :)

  • great video.

  • Dude! You cut your hair!!! You totally look like a normal person now

  • Thanks for the video Kabane. You make excellent videos and I always learn alot from you. I dont quite understand the Orthodox stuff, but God has blessed you as a teacher of his word. I consider you a wise wise brother blessed by God. Keep at it

  • So just to clear up some confusion, gentiles don't have to obey the law of moses, even the Sabbath?

  • @RomaZeal we find rest in Jesus Christ himself. He is the Lord of the Sabbath

  • How do you refute an Attacker of the Christian faith?? Read Scriptures in Context

  • You took on Geoasher? I can't wait to see what happens with this debate. Asher is really knowledgable but then so are you, so this will be interesting

  • About the line going through the daughter..in Deuteronomy, it says if a man dies and has no son, then the inheritances continues through the daughter.

  • Dude is that where you are living during college? Looks nice.

  • all growed up

  • press 0 over and over LMAO.

On a more seriousness note, good video.

  • better background.

  • What is interesting though is that according to Matthew's gospel's Jesus Christ does come from the line of Solomon

  • @greglee20

That's through Joseph, though. Luke provides the genealogy through Mary.
