I'm new to archery. watched other videos with female archers and see the elbow high on draw. I was told to pull straight back which I now manage to do, what is the best "form" for drawing the bow? I don't want an injury to put an end to my new found hobby.

Yeah, I've seen erika shoot, too. She anchors high, nothing to worry about. Like any sport, start out easy and work into it. Don't max out your draw weight just because you can pull it.

If you plan om hunting, minimize raising your arm, animals will see you. If your shooting for fun, go with what works. Welcome to your new hobby and have fun with it!

Bahahah!! Are you serios?? The longbow was the most devastating and destructive weapon before the invention of gun powder. They did a test they got a compound bow with metal arrows and shot at a peice of iron plate about a centimeter thick. the compound arrow just broke leaving the armor with a nice little dent. The longbow arrow that was using medievil tips shot straight through it if you were behind that with your back against it you would have a hole in you about 10 centimeters deep.

I should explain.....

The car I currently drive is a "company" car. It's supplied by the company I work for.

Your saying you need this technology to hit a moose from 40 yards? english longbowmen used to hit knights from further then that... and last time i checked horses are smaller then mooses. also i can hit a target withing a 30 centimeter radius from 40 yards. if you want to be a good hunter try being more quit and stealthy to get close enuf so you don't have to shoot from 40 yards maybe if you closed your big fat mouth you might be able to accomplish that

don't be a fool, just because u prefer one type of bow doesn't mean u should insult another archery discipline. compounds also require some amount of skill. u get adrenaline when u use longbows or recurve bows but u get smoothness with olympic-style recurves and compounds.

I use bails of straw. Straw is fairly inexpensive. If you can't get a hold of anything like that use a burlap sack with old clothes or rags stuffed very tightly to the top, then just stitch the top. This makes a very nice portable archery bag :) If you want to make the bag smaller cut it and stitch it to the wanted size.

i really want to know too. i keep damaging my arrows. ive heard that getting a burlap sack (eg. a coal bag) and packing it full with old clothes works well. u have to stitch the top closed then. im gonna ry it once i get a bag

neva eva eva pull ur compound bow further than its cocking point myne snapped after 2 days of havin it u was usin it fine but since it was ma fist COMPOUND bow i thought i should just giv it a lit pull past the cocking point and it snapped clean in half:{ lukily its got a warranty so wish me luk gettin replace ment lol

well recurve bows arnt as efficent as a compound is at hunting, however a curved stick with a string attached is a fun bow to shoot.
