Wow. Saw your video of Gilbert West Virginia and in Atlanta both in 1987. I graduated from Gilbert High School in 1985 and moved to Atlanta in 1986. Cumming, GA in Forsyth County. Still here 26 years later.
Wow...another awesome time capsule! Thanks again for posting these!
At that time, I lived in Atlanta, and I vividly remember the massive freeway construction going on. We often made the drive up I-85 to visit relatives near Greenville, SC (and we later moved to Anderson, SC)...I definitely recognize the old-style "Welcome to SC" sign, and the rolling/forested terrain.
If you have any additional footage showing I-85 in the upstate of SC, I'd love to see it!
This brings back a lot of childhood memories... I loved going through Atlanta from north Georgia to Alabama to visit our relatives, I definitely remember all of the construction in the 80s. Thanks for posting.
Yes, including Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium at 3:22, which was still home to both the Falcons and Braves..before it was demolished and the Georgia Dome and Turner Field were built!

Wow, I wasn't even born and everything looked so much different. It's so weird seeing Spaghetti Junction with fresh, white concrete.
