Yes I do. All of us are supposed to, but Washington, DC has severe limitations. The Constitution is being violated by severe restrictions, and the liberals keep chipping away at this right. I personally own five guns, and I'm going to buy more. Try not to live up North where people don't have their full rights, due to the liberal mentality. Remember liberals are really fascists, people who want to control the individual, not give the individual the natural freedoms per the constitution.
FYI Christians take 78.4% out of the whole population of US and muslims 0.6, so just talking about war on religion is stupid. And about forcing somebody to pay for smth, well that's kind of funny, especially when you know, that Catholic church has nothing against paying for VIAGRA as the part of health care bill. And btw those contraception pill for women, also help to cure other illnesses.
how can catholic men choose whats right for a womans body? Some women, like myself, need birth control for certain health reasons. i mean some catholic colleges dont even allow condoms on campuses! But they (some not al) want to be the first ones to say Gays are spread HIV.
Obama as creeped into a communist mode, because he has violated the freedom of religion. Stalin did the same thing, and like Stalin, he has taken over private business: GM ownership. Pedolphilia? That's the leftwing's domain, since most fags and pedophiles champion perversion. Obama is no Christian, more like an atheist, because atheists don't like freedom of religion and campaign against it. I thought NAMBLA was a Democrat Party club, certainly not Republican. Remember Stalin? Obamaaaaaaaaaaa!
Obama compromised, most people are fine with the compromise.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop's (or NAMBLA) are dead set against it. A bunch of men, making decisions about womens sexual health. They should stick to doing what they do best, covering up institutionalized pedophilia and stay out of womens health.
The Obama Administration is saying that 98% of Catholic women are of child bearing age.....REALLY? REALLY? I find that impossible to believe. Last time I went to church half the congregation was over the age of 60 and it's pretty much that way in most churches.
@MrRickywallace he won't be because religious fanatics support this buffoon Santorum and he has no hope of winning the Presedential race, in large part because he supports the kind of religious extremism spouted by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop (NAMBLA)
The Catholic Church got into this mess by equating government wealth redistribution with charity. It supported bigger government not realizing that it was encouraging the confiscation of wealth via taxation. Forced taxation is not charity. It helped to create a beast that needs ever more redistribution to survive as over half the people expect something from government. Now the beast wants something from the Church – abortion services – as a means to make more women dependent on government.
@ThereGoYou Doesnt matter. The Catholic church is still ,by vast majority means, A privately funded, religious organization. No state of Federal government agency can legally, ethically, or morally force their hospitals or healthcare organizations to provide any ROUTINE,NON LIFE-THREATINING treatments or care to ANYONE...ANYONE.Whether through insurance policies they are forced to carry, mundane care they are made to provide ,or irrelevant policies they are forced to adapt.
@CyanoticFuture No they are not privately funded. That is what the issue is here. They are accepting federal funding and the whining when the feds come in and tell them what they can and can't do. Obama bent backwards for them when he said that the insurance companies would pay for and supply free contraceptives and the Catholic charities and hospitals didn't have to pay for them themselves.
I've heard that. He says that he's a Christian, but it's hard to believe. This action against the Church is in the Obamacare healthcare program. Let' s rally against him and defeat him or we're going to be in terrible condition.
@MrRickywallace I believe that Obama thinks he is a great innovator. He is not. He is just a one term president who will be used as an example to school children in future generations.
Bankruptcy court hearings for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee unexpectedly uncovered more than 8,000 previously unreported instances of child sex abuse over the past 60 years. According to an attorney representing 570 of the victims, the charges implicate about 100 church workers, including 75 Catholic priests. Now think about this every time you hear Newt Gingrich, or Rick Santorum or any of the rest of the self-righteous Republican scumbags saying that Obama is waging war on the Catholic Church.
This entire Catholic controversy regarding mandated health insurance coverage for employees contraceptives and abortions is entirely blown out of proportion. Women ought to be free to fuck like uncivilized animals and behave with utter disregard for any silly old hypothetical consequences. If they get pregnant, that thing inside is just a foreign body; an inconvenience, and women should be as free to discard it as when they blow their nose to expel a snottywad.
to vote obama out will beba vote for more bushlike presidency.more warmongerint.more terrorist threats.more middle east mayhem. republicans ran by jewish and use them to create war against jewish enemies..wake up.world war 3 ..is that what u want?
Obama better NOT go there! He better not even try to force the Catholic church into providing and supporting contraceptives, etc. That would be a HUGE mistake on his part! He would be playing with fire! Keep the political bulls*** away from the Church and move on! Screw Obama! I can't wait til he is out of office!
That's his ideology of left wing politics: go against the norm: the Church, family values, common sense government, the Constitution, gun ownership, the military, heterosexuality. You think that he would be reasonable, but that we must remember that he's a liberal fascist, totalitarian, not willing to budge. At least Clinton budged, and he was immoral. Obama is a Alinskyite, not a real Democrat. He won't change, so we must vote against him and get a normal person for president.
The Govt has absolutely no business FORCING people to go against their basic religious beliefs.
The conntroversy about Birth Control Pills is bad enough, but what was far more egregious & inexcusable was when our govt prohibited Mormons from practicing polygamy - a very central belief.
It even caused Mormons to leave the USA - including Romney's ancestors.
@DillonDee1 Exactly! I made a joke about that this morning but that's the real issue. What do you do with a Muslim who has four wives and comes here to work. . . annul three wives? The issue is simple; no body in their right mind goes to a Catholic institution asking for birth control, just like you don't go to a Synagog and ask for a ham sandwich.
@DillonDee1 Of course government does. It would wreck society to act in such a barbarian manner. Judaeo-Christian ethos creates the most normal, orderly kind of government, Islam, the most barbaric.
@DillonDee1 There IS a separation of Church & State. No one is forcing women to use birth control, but if a non-Catholic (or even Catholic, since the majority of Catholic women use birth control) want is, it is available thru their insurance. This policy has been in effect since 2000. During the Bush administration, DePaul University, which is the largest Roman Catholic university in the country, added birth control coverage to its plans. Why was there no outcry then?
@DillonDee1 Separation of church and state mostly means CONGRESS cannot proclaim a national religion, and cannot force a citizen to adhere to any one faith or not adhere to any one faith ( unless of course , your "religion" includes killing people in rituals, blowing up buildings, pedophilia etc etc. as official doctrine ).It does not mean kids cant pray in PUBLIC schools on their OWN ACCORD (Chritian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, whicheve)
@DillonDee1 And no I dont think PUBLIC school teachers should lead kids in prayer, coz not all kids in that class may adhere to that faith, but kids doing it outside of class....who cares. It also has zilch to do with a small town having a christian cross on their seal, or even Congress praying before sessions ( as long as noone is forced to do so if they wish not to ) Separation of church and state = the state doesnt control the church, and the church doesnt control the state.Period
@DillonDee1 With that being said, Obama signing a law that that FORCES, a RELIGIOUS organization to SUPPORT a law and participate in a law that tears at the moral fabric of most of its congregations core beliefs ,while if they dont , hurts noone, is the epitome of unconstitutional .Abortion/ birth control is also a very political issue , not solely religious. The people who support obamas choice throw hissy fits if a little town has a cross on its seal
@CyanoticFuture Obommie-the-Commie: taking over the Church and businesses (GM). Next it will be our guns. Read "American Rifleman," it will tell you about the liberals wanting the UN to dictate gun ownership. Stalin, Marx, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini are applauding from the grave-for Obamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
@DillonDee1 claiming " separation of church and state " , yet have no issue with forcing a religious group to make it employees take part in a health care act they find reprehensible. Ever wonder why people say " Liberalism in modern USA is a mental disorder" ? Well, I dont.
The Roman Catholic faith is The One True Faith. The Priests and Bishops and Cardinals are weak and are leading the faithful in a dangerous direction. Voting for these politicians who promote abortion, contraception and homosexuality is a sin. The Church has to stand up and stop worrying about "catholic's" leaving the pews or drop in donations. Do we sure man or God.
Religion is a greater problem than politics. Because of religion, people have their lives controlled by lies and usually, after death, finds themselves wandering aimlessly around the world. The balance of good and evil within their soul, guilt and bliss, makes them see the illusions of a heaven or hell, depending on the religion they followed so blindly. So the Whisperers tell me.
Even though I'm not Catholic, I'm totally with you on being prolife in a Catholic Hospital. Now I have my own view on Pro-choice but not in a Catholic Hospital. I respect your guys beliefs on this and I am willing to act with the Catholic Community to stop this from happening. Just think if they are able to do this with one religion just think how they will treat others.
Lets clear this up .....No matter what you hear on mainstream media and what Pelosi says ...you cannot be pro Choice and Catholic .....This is the biggest lie and heresy out there . The people who are claiming to be both are either lying about there true beliefs , are totally ignorant about the churches teachings/doctrines of the faith ....are being subversive/lying....politically motivated to state such , or need to find another church
@davidnco1 I am an active and practicing Catholic. I oppose abortion. That is my choice. I am pro-choice in the sense that others should have the right to choose according to their own conscience.
Guess he's Beta Testing his communist aganda on the Catholic church 1st, he'll get to the rest later. All this comming from a man whose elligability to be president is being questioned over US citizenship, has a SSN belonging to someone else, Guess if the Catholics don't comply he'll have an excuse to use NDAA and put those FEMA slave labor camps to good use, just call them terrorists. No doubt he'll be remembered as the WORST president in US history. Truth is stranger than fiction.
@Shadowcat761 Great point shadowcat . I am not sure what is more irritating .....people jumping on the Catholic bashing band wagon because of the brain washing from the mainstream media , or the people who are to ignorant to realize that there freedom ,even human rights are next.
Oh 1 more thing...Nancy Pelosi , who claims to be Catholic came out today to say she supports this move by Obama. At this moment in time i don't recall her exact words BUTT it was something along the lines of - "As a Catholic i stand with my fellow democrat Catholics in support of Obama's move on this matter". She is NO Catholic.
@computerpurple Let me clear this up if I may. Pelosi cannot be a Catholic and be pro abortion. Yes there are Catholics who claim to be Catholic and pro choice...and I can walk inside a Morman church and claim to be Morman . but if you are a true catholic, it is considered a mortal sin , and you cannot receive communion . The ones who say otherwise either 1 Do not know there Catholic doctrines 2 Are trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes 3 are just plain ignorant 4 need to find another church
@davidnco1 Hello just wanted to say that those that take to a Nancy Pelosi version of Catholicism is known as being a "cafeteria" catholic. Her thinking that it's ok to be both Catholic and support ABORTION is BLASPHEMY.
If some individual or someone from the government came into your home while you are not home and you came home to find out the furniture in your home has been re-arranged you would not like it. This is what Obama has done to Catholics he is dictating how the view on the issue of contraception will be handled.
@computerpurple He's a communist. Why? Because he's taking over the Church much like Stalin and Mao. He's taking over GM, much like Stalin, Mao, and even Hitler. Let's impeach the anti-Christ Obama. Let's all get together and demand impeachment!
does the bill require the church/hosptial to provide contraceptions or simply to make it available... If I go to a catholic hospital that serves the public and want birth control pills are you telling me that the doctor/hospital can deny me service because I do not beleive what they do??? Whats next the hospital turns away sick jews because they don't believe in Jesus? The bill does not require catholics to do anything other than have insurance, what you do with that insurance is up to you.
@junctionjay I am caught flat footed here, having read commentaries rather than the Obamacare package itself. Still, Catholic hospitals have traditionally taken all patients. I myself was in one when I was three and not Catholic. I think this issue is the service provided. Consider this; if you went to a psychiatric center and asked for heart surgery they wouldn't be able to help. I don't think the govt cant tell any hospital what kind of care to provide. Does that help?
@junctionjay Provide and make available are the same thing . They have to provide , forcing them to go against there beliefs . The point is Obama is infringing upon not only the Catholic church beliefs , but many Christians . He is doing it in a very methodical , subversive way , and he will not stop there . Fortunate he has really upset allot of people, not just Catholics . He has shown his true anti- Christian values and people are waking up .
@junctionjay Yes.Because a catholic hospital is a private organization.PRIVATE. And Contraceptives/ abortions are not life threatening issues .Now, no hospital, of any kind in the US can deny LIFE SAVING EMERGENCY procedures or operations to ANYONE , REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER., if they offer it to the "public at large" per federal/stae laws. But once again, no law ....yet...tells any PRIVATE hospital they MUST provide any type of routine or convienent procedures to ANYONE...TIL NOW
@junctionjay Nor were there laws requiring..once again..PRIVATE hospitals to carry a FEDERALLY mandated insurance policy ,especially if. since that private hospital was a religous owned one and felt the insurance provided payments for things non life threatening and morally reprehensible. Tell me, what do you thin of small towns having A Bibles and crosses on their town seals...just curious :)
Obama is a socialist therefore now acts as comunist. SACK THE TRASH HE IS! This violates the freedom of religion. This is an attack toward the catholic church and we are displeased. WE WILL FIGHT TILL THE END! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
I am a Catholic and I think this decision by the Obama administration is disgusting. It forces Catholic instituions to go against a fundamental Church teaching. How can the government ask the Church to go against it's conscience like this? I feel this is an attack on the Catholic Church itself.
any one can go to the hill cumorah pagent ya want a room i know a place to stay and ya can go see the smith farm it like 15 minutes away from my house, book soon as we booked a person from salt lake this am
@justinml Great! I want to go to the Temple! See how that works? Hey, that's my right as an American, right? No matter what LDS rules say, I'm an American!
We have separation of church and state but the catholic church cannot become a mini state within our state . It will obey our laws the same as anyone else .
@vasp99 You missed my point. Catholic organizations should be able to follow the rules of their church. Birth control is directly against Catholic Doctrine. They should not be forced to provide services that go directly against their core beliefs.
Screw the bishops with their fancy gowns and jewelry. They should go sit on their pointy hats.

does the bill require the church/hosptial to provide contraceptions or simply to make it available...

But once again, no law ....yet...tells any PRIVATE hospital they MUST provide any type of routine or convienent procedures to ANYONE...TIL NOW
CyanoticFuture 2 weeks ago
@junctionjay Nor were there laws requiring..once again..PRIVATE hospitals to carry a FEDERALLY mandated insurance policy ,especially if. since that private hospital was a religous owned one and felt the insurance provided payments for things non life threatening and morally reprehensible. Tell me, what do you thin of small towns having A Bibles and crosses on their town seals...just curious :)

The seperation between church and state is to protect the "church" from the state not the state from the church!!!!

I don't know if I'm more pissed that the Catholics were to get an exemption from Obamacare or that religious freedom is being violated.
Where's my exemption?? Where's my rights?? WHERE IS MY FREEDOM OF CHOICE?!?!?!?!

@damom77 Yet its okay that the rest of us get bent over and Obamacare gets shoved up our tailpipes? I'm not Catholic and I don't want Obamacare!

@ghendric None of us want it! I don't care if you are a Catholic or Atheist.

@justinml Great! I want to go to the Temple! See how that works? Hey, that's my right as an American, right? No matter what LDS rules say, I'm an American!

We have separation of church and state but the catholic church cannot become a mini state within our state . It will obey our laws the same as anyone else .
vasp99 1 month ago
@vasp99 You missed my point. Catholic organizations should be able to follow the rules of their church. Birth control is directly against Catholic Doctrine. They should not be forced to provide services that go directly against their core beliefs.
