Most shotguns arent triple burst, so only one bb will go in a shell. Triple Burst shotguns allow you to put three BB's into the shell firing all at once.

It's not just about pretending to be some make believe army in fact if you have see woods ball from Paintballing you would see a of similarities. There are organizations who take it quite seriously just like paintball. Yes most of the air soft weapons are modeled more of the real thing but mainly that's because the ammunition it fires allows for it. You can also find paintball markers modeled from real weapons as well.
