  • You have to be ~¿~ to understand it lol

  • Why are all the guitarists, we djent drummers like, in the US, Sweden and the Uk? NOT FAIR. Populate the rest of the planet and give us a break!

  • Baritone guitar?

  • 3 peopole disliked because their ears started to bleed because the music was too awesome!

  • your output of creativity is just amazing! holy crap

  • Just curious... why no solo's typically, and what do you do for money if you give all your music out free?

  • my absolutly fav !!!!

  • Hello,

I would like to buy the Studio One,but I have two very important questions:

    1. I use an e-drumkit with Superior Drummer 2.0 .Can I record the e-drums with the Studio One in that way that every single drum get on a separate track?

    2. Is there a pitch shifter in Studio One?

  • The best 7 string guitar player. Keep metalll dude!!

  • rauuuunchy guitar tone man. Totally sick. some of the breakbeat-esque stuff reminded me of meshuggah.

What amp do you usually run that thing through man? Also, what tuning are you in? Drop B?

  • @Blythe31 its a drop Bb or A# via tuning the standard 6 strings up a half step so its Bb-F-Bb-Eb-Ab-C-F

  • it really reminds me of In Flames and Nevermore

  • Do you like the Blazes better or the Duncan Invaders? I'm trying to pick one for an upgrade on my RG7321.

  • Blaze pickups sound awesome in an RG7321. Had one, loved how it sounded.

  • Sweet. Thanks.

  • commenting for the 2nd time i know my friend has a 7321 and i've considered getting one myself because of the value and swapping pickups would be a breeze what do you think? are the 7321s the best in that price range? i'd get a vigier, conklin, or michael sherman 7 if i could dish out $3000-$8000 but i'm looking more like $500 lol

  • The RG7321 sells for $399 almost anywhere online. I find them used, locally, for around $200 all day long. They are great guitars for that price.

  • I own an RG7321 and if you swap the bridge pup, it's amazing. The neck pup could be better but its not completely terrible for rhythm or cool clean guitar type sounds, but the bridge pup is terrible, lol. I got D Activators in mine and they work well :)

  • i'm liking what i see and hear! wtf man, this is awesome.

  • BAD ASS i like that riff near the beginning reminds me of COB

  • great, like it!

  • Keith you just kick ass

    I love this tune

your recordings always sound so professional I wish I could come close with mine

  • Nicely done!..Do you have the blaze neck and bridge or two neck pickups?

  • Two neck pickups

  • So you have a Blaze Neck And bridge pickups? because i want some for my RG 7321

  • scary? wtf you have a light stomach davidgtco

  • why form a band when he IS the band!?!?>@?!!

  • meshuggah anyone?

  • yes plz

  • Eh, kind of.

  • I dont really like this style of music but I like what you did here,..

  • Sir I would make love to you for a tab of this. :D

  • Some people have made tabs for some of my other songs, there is a link to download them on my profile page. This one isn't one of them, sorry!

  • were you recording a mic thru the fast track pro?

  • just got the sub you have with the krk rp 8 g2.

i love the music you do!

  • I subscribed to you page, you didn't put what kind of amp you used or do you just line out? thanks

  • PODxt Live straight into my interface.

  • cool thanks, don't really to know much about the other stuff you put on there don't record except 8 tracking on my GNX4 for now. great tone though

  • intro kinda reminds me of sikth..

  • This would sound better in drop K 23 octaves down using cable line for strings. Love, Dante

  • HAHAHAHHA, I just spit my drink out! Dude that was epic. I love you for that.

  • No dead spots but they almost always need a setup, as with pretty much any guitar I've ever owned.

  • cant stop hearing ur tracks everyday

    ur album is AWESOME

so what do u think is better PODxt live / POD X3 live ??

  • Glad you like the tunes! I have no real way to compare the XT Live to the X3 because I've never played with an X3. They seem cool though!

  • Do you use a drum machine?? Or Drum software?? Or is that a real drummer?? And if software what kind... And are you signed??? If not this world has gone crazy!!! You're bad ass!!!

  • Drums are sequenced in FL Studio 8. I'm not signed. Thanks!

  • Oh so you use EZ Drummer???

  • No, I use Drumagog soft trigger with custom made samples.

  • Have you used ezdrummer? Would you say Drumagog is a better easier to use program?? Do you use a midi Device like a Keyboard???

  • The way I do it is definitely not easier, but I like the sound better than EZDrummer. I do use a midi keyboard.

  • One more stupid question.. Do you know if my keyboard would have to have the double kick option on the drum kits it has on it?? For instance My keyboard has a picture of a kick pedal over the key where the kick pedal is.. If that makes since?? Like the end C Key is my kick pedal on my keyboard when messing with ist drum kits...

  • I honestly have no idea what you mean. Sorry man! I don't quite get what you're asking.

  • Holy s**t!!! Keep up the good work!

  • hey man, How much did you pay for that beauty?

  • sick stuff man.

n hey, I was wondering, is the TA-600 a good bass to work metal with? im thinking of gettin one, jus wanna get some reviews

  • I have never played the one I have. It's autographed by all the members of Slayer. I won it in a songwriting contest a few years ago. It hangs on the wall in my studio. It's a really nice bass though! lol.

  • lol okay, I can see why you wouldnt wanna play it :P

  • i wanted to buy a dimarzio blaze pick up for my bridge pu...is it a good one? i got an ibanez 7 string...and korn used to play blaze pus in the 90´s but i wanted to know if the low b string sounds clear even if you distort your guitar a lot...in this video it´s sounds awesome man..

  • the Blaze pickups are awesome in the bridge! One of my favorite pickups.

  • This is probably my fav vid from Keith..... the sound for the vid is really solid ( for youtube)

    TOP SHIT MAN!!!!

  • hey man im 15 and i want to set up my own studio , i bought a m-aduio fats track pro last night of ebay , do you reckon if i have some problems you could help me out i would really apreciate it im going to be recording my own songs and stuff

  • Uh.. I guess I can try to help. In all honesty, Google would be a much better place to start, especially if you need help on the fly.

  • I downloaded your free EP and have been passing it among my buddies.

    Top notch stuff, man.

  • Thanks for the support man!

  • holy shit

  • Dude. Where are you from? Ive never met anyone with the same last name as me.

    Im also a musician.

  • I was born in Los Angeles but live in Oregon now.

  • hi, great guitar !

    how much ?

  • hey dude....i would like to ask...how has you recorded this? ....guitar=> effect=> fast track pro?

you know, i got problem with my fast track pro..it doesn how good sound..when playin through distortion pedals to it...thats why i ask

  • Do you use Peavey Revalver (or Native Instruments) going into a real Randall XL cab? Then do you mic the cab? reading the list of gear I did not see an amp so I am assuming that is what you do. If so do you just go straight from the monitor outs on you audio interface into the cab?

How is the Agile? I am thinking about getting a 7 string Agile.

  • The guitar tracks on this song were done using a POD xt Live straight into the front of my interface. I highly recommend Agile 7-string guitars.

  • also, nice clean picking by the way :thumbs up:

  • OOh man thats the Dimarzio Blaze in bridge?? im Really digging that tone

  • Yep!

  • I just got my pod x3 (had a pod 2.0 before) and it is really incredible with the dual option.

I'll try spdif and analog and let you know and maybe post a video on youtube if there is a difference in sound!

  • Some people say that the sound would be better with spdif since it's digital. Have you tried it?

  • Honestly, I never thought to do that. Now I have to try it. It might make a difference. We'll see! Thanks duder!

  • Scratch that, I forgot the the XT Live doesn't have SPDIF. Oh well.

  • Wow pretty impressive!

Your guitar and recording skills are just great!

With you pod are you connected with digital coaxial spdif or analog left right?

I ordered a pod x3 to go with my fast track ultra and protools 8.

    Thanks

  • Analog L/R> Interface

  • dude, i commented u a month ago &i watch ur videos like everyday :) really very impressive work

i got a ques. plz & hope u can help me

i see u're using m-audio fast track pro, i just bought if, i installed the driver &shows "connected" & i have ASIO v.2 but when i connect my guitar to the card i got nothing ... no signal no sound &the mic check on the control panel is disabled although "fast track pro input1/2" is selected (win XP)

    got any idea for this??

    thnx

  • I haven't used XP in years, so bear with me. The first thing I would do right click on Line1/2 in the playback device menu and use the "test tone" or whatever its called in XP. If it's connected correctly you will hear some bell type noises. Stupid question, but do you have speakers connected to it? If not, that's your prob.

If you do, turn the input level you're plugged into to 50%. Same thing with the "Mix" and "Output" knobs.

    Hope that helps .

  • lol, yea of course am connecting the speakers &i already can hear mp3s &other sounds, the matter is in recording, no I/O signals in guitar rig or any other software, dunno if im using wrong port or something :/

i have another vista pc and same thing happened, well thnx anyway:)

if u got any other tips please tell me

  • Fucking awesome!

  • Damn dude..this is utterly fucking imba..im studying to be an audio engineer at the moment if you want me to mix some tracks or something drop me a line anytime of the fucking night er day what are sequencer and ai are you using? are you di-ing? er using a mic? im on my laptop speakers so honestly i cant tell but hit me up about some of this.

  • Thanks for the offer..

The tracks are DI, no mics. Drums are sequenced in FL Studio 8.

  • Everything on my youtube page is all my original music.

  • that sounded incredible dude :D

  • Thanks bro. You should check out my other clips if you liked this one. Maybe you'd like those too.

  • Superb djent. Nice mix of Meshuggah and Sikth stylings there, sort of like Periphery.

  • hey man....... absolutely love your stuff - very creative use of ryhythms and melodies.. I have only 1 simple question, which amp models do you predominantly use on your PodXT?

    Cheers, and keep it coming!!

  • The Triple Rec model from the Metal Shop Pack.

  • God dang, this is great!

I really gotta get a 7 string. haha.

  • Thanks man. 7 string guitars are fun.

  • are recording your guitar with a mic or direct, I'm guessing with a mic

I'm thinking about buying the fast track pro

but I hear mixed reviews on it, and I found out its only usb 1.1

    how do you rate it?

  • I run straight from the output on my POD XT Live into the Fast Track for my recordings. It works great for me. I have never had a single problem with my Fast Track Pro. I don't really see why it matters that it's not USB 2.0. I'm not mic'ing a huge drumkit with it or anything like that. Just single tracks. No need for 2.0 unless you are expecting a lot more from that little interface. Cheers.

  • how to go about editing in protools? when i plug my line6 spider into my mobile pre it sounds really crappy. i mean not to bad, but its no where near your sound

  • That's a pretty open ended question. Try Google for ProTools tips, and I would mic that amp, not DI it.

  • sorry for all the ?'s, but what string guage do you use for that tuning? was it hard tuning that way because the low be was at normal tension and the higher strings were tuned down so much?

  • sorry i meant tuned higher.

  • It took a little experimenting to find the right strings for that tuning. Here's what I use.

    Strings- GHS

    Gauges:

    .008-1/2

    .010-1/2

    .014

    .22

    .32

    .40

    .58

  • thats interesting. did you come up with this tuning on your own? I have never seen it before. thanks for answering all of my questions. I think ill stick to my standard b tuning. you are in a league of your own

  • Well, I'm probably not the first or only person who uses it, but it is pretty a unconventional tuning. I don't know anyone else who tunes like that. It's tuning standard E up a 1/2 step to F, then adding a low Bb. Metal? Tuning UP? HERESY! lol

  • is it drop A maybe?

  • Drop Bb

    Bb F Bb Eb Ab C F

All the songs on my youtube page use that tuning. It's my fav! ;)

  • what tuning are you in? is that standard? I watch this video everyday. You have great phrasing and your riffs are creative. Not the same old cookie cutter riffing.

  • Dude. your songs are godly, I was wondering, are you using an amp or running direct in through the best program ever, or what?

  • Thanks a lot. I'm just using a POD XT Live for my tone.

  • OH my god, can you send me your patch? PLLLLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE

  • Sure man, PM me your email.

  • dude wtf

    this is awesome

  • Awesome, this is really original, theres a lot of generic stuff on youtube so its good to see someone doing something interesting and progressive! I'm jealous of your production skills as well, makes my videos look pretty shoddy!

  • Thank you. The audio quality on this one is actually a lot worse than my other vids.

Your videos sound great man, not shoddy at all!

  • do you have a myspace page?

  • wow kicks butt dude awesome love those riffs and chops lol eventhough you messed up at the end 5***** i have a 7 string esp in my wake the dead 2008 remix that doesn't sound half as good as yours does.

  • Man ,ur rig is the dream of any musician..i can live in ur studio like FOREVER haha

    well done bro

that was super-amazing, seriously u should record more & more & publish everywhere

    GREAT WORK MAN

  • The recording rig is not that great, but it works well for my home stuff. Thanks for the kind words, I will be uploading a new video soon.

  • I can hear the bands you listen to in your music and style. Vry cool. Meshuggah an inflames immediately come to mind. Very cool bro. (5/5)

  • yo man how are the Randall xl cabs with the cel. 80's .....im looking at giting one with a bugera 6262 head so yea tell me what u think nice agile.......

  • My Randall cabs are loaded with Eminence Legends. I think they sounds beast. Especially the 2x12/1x15 cab. THUNDER.

  • good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude, this song was tight as f***! Record MOOOOOORRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE.

  • lol, thanks! I will hopefully have more videos soon. I've been too busy to write anything lately.

  • DUDE! WOW THIS IS SO SICK! If you ever want to collab online, or want vocals on any of this LET ME KNOW! Dude you fuckin rock!

  • Thanks man, I'm always looking for new musicians to collab with. I have a few vocal prospects, but nothing too solid at the moment.

  • GREAT WORK BUD !!!!!!! love all your vids !! do more !!

  • BEAST !!!!!!!

  • Thank you very much. I'm always working on music, so I'm sure I will have more videos soon. Glad you enjoyed em.

  • i have a question is this a agile pro (neck through) and if not is it the black flame top?

  • Nope, this is an older model with a bolt on neck. It's not flame top either.. its just a gun-metal gray paint job.

  • ha i decided against an agile anyways.....i just took my guitar to a pro so instead of an agile i will have a pro setup schecter with emg 707s =)

  • awesome ...5 stars..

  • this is just downright one of the best pieces of music ive heard in a while. outstanding! i love the agile, is it one if the 7 string septors? if it is, are you using the stock pickups it comes with? again man...so good!

  • Wow, thank you!

The guitar is an older model from before the name change-law suit. I bought it as an "Interceptor", they later had to change the name to Septor. The pickups in the video are DiMarzio Blaze, but I just replaced them a couple days ago with EMG 707 pickups. Sounds quite a bit better! I will post a new vid soon. Thanks for checking it out and for the kind words.

  • Brutal man. I really like the playing and the Agile...

  • BADASS. Addictive Drums? those are some nice chops man, can't wait to hear more.

  • Thanks man, your videos are awesome as well. The drums were soft triggered using Drumagog and MIDI sequenced using FL Studio 8. Glad you enjoyed it!
