Thanks for posting this fascinatin' footage! It's hard for today's young people to believe how popular an oddball like Tiny Tim could become back in the 70's. But audiences were drawn to that very bizarre quality of his....he may have seemed "out there"....but he was real. I admit he was not the most handsome of men...but I refuse to believe that rumor about him being the love child of Hope Emerson & Rondo Hatton.
I met Isa Fertel in 1974 when he had his radio station. Friends and I dressed up as the Marx Bros' for a fun time on his show. I was Harpo. All I could do was beep my horn and make noise. I also knew Tiny Tim for 28 years. I did not know this video existed. Thanks for putting it up.
I'm happy I got to meet Tiny Tim when he was playing with the circus at Woodrow Wilson homes in Long Branch, had a nip and got a few autographs. this is Fantastic. this is TRUE entertainment!
@bunnybubblesxox he was a very cool guy! he was not offish in any way, this was the mid '80's and I think he was happy to see some of his fans. it was strange, in the middle of a circus show Tiny would come out with his Uke and play a few numbers. I mean, Tiny had recorded with the Beatles ( Christmas record). I think it was a low point when he was with the circus. he deserved so much more.
yikes! that bow!

Wow! Tiny humbly backing up a fellow whose musical style is almost as quaint as his. Kindred spirits.

That's some of the best five minutes of TV ever broadcast! I'm sure glad it got resurrected from the oblivion of the guest room.
