Steve Shelton is one of metal's unsung drum gods. Sooooo many drummers have ripped off pieces of Steve's playing with Confessor over the years. His cymbal work on Condemned, to this day, is the most groundbreaking I've ever heard. Totally ahead of its time.

First time(s) I listened to Confessor (around 92) I couldn't grasp the complicity of their music.

Later on I say their greatness and I am still in awe... Wow...

This genius has awesome coordination. I mean, to pull off those odd tempo drumming is just amazing. He even makes it look effortless. He should make more music with his type of drumming. My bud in old skool Wilmington, N.C. thrashers Betrayer used to play shows with Confessor and C.O.C. They sure were ahead of their time. You can go on all day about Scott Jeffery's singing, but nobody sounded like them.
