Actually he did a really good job at it...if you think about it he can't just rip and tear off any part of the building he wants to because the upper part could collapse down on him. It would be much faster to grab and tear off any part of the building you want to, but it would also be fatal.
When they torn down the "Fathers" house and the "nuns" house at St. Mathews Catholic church up where i live they took time tearing it down as well.
That guy is really bad with a crane.

No, this was just demolition of part of the Gym, they're tearing the whole school down.
