Slaves/servants were an integral part of households in those days. e.g. The wife who could not conceive children would often give her servant to her husband to lay with, then call the children her own. God simply put sanctions on established everyday practices done and accepted by all people to make them more humane.

pretty week all told, if u study into the original texts, u find many differnet meanings to words, so a bit of intellect can make the meaning of the 'verse' somewhat different. and u clearly have to view thru the knowledge of knowing God. this DOES not prove that God is evil, merely that the person who made this, DOES not know God. and besides, why go to such lengths to disprove the bible, and not go the whole way, the original text rather than some weak mistranslation.

Another question is why in the world did god create evil in the first place? A all knowing god would know that creating evil would directly lead to eternal damnation for certain people.

These scripture are about servants or maids, not slaves. As with today any human who beats, but does not kill will not be killed but is punished for his crime. If he kills he would normally be killed or get life. What you are reading out of is not accurate and you are interpreting wrong. A slave is not the same as maid/ servant. Scriptre are to teach
