Thanks for doing a vid on my favorite airliner, and what do you think of this plane? I personally think that it is versatile with it being airliner and cargo capable, and excelling in each.
I don't get why ppl say the DC-10(I think it was a fedex DC-10) suck a guy did military menuvers in one and it was fine and made it back to memphis after a failed hijacking attempt.
A GPWS mode 3 call out (don't sink) occurs after altittude loss after take off with high power settings. For occasions such as an engine failure after take off. In the case above it's going off at an inapproriate time.
@Cessna154 Hey man I was wondering if you could check out this video we made, and if maybe you could replicate this same flight From Helsinki To Riga, The name is THE BALTIC EXPRESS
@TTDMFfreaknew I don't blame you...count the accidents: AA 96, THY 981, Air New Zealand 901, AA 191. The first two and the fourth accident were all within the 1970's. They made McDonnell-Douglas go bankrupt. Why does the DC-10 still fly?
@boeing521 Because its a great plane...... I really do believe that the AA flight was do to poor inspection on AA's part they just passed it off like it wasn't to cover there asses and that McDonnell Douglas in pot hole because everyone got this crazy idea it was McDonnell's falt thats all crap!
@pianomanmaestro Well in essence, yes, it was McDonnell-Douglas's fault because they designed the DC-10 with engines that could fall off from doing standard repairs, cargo doors that can blow out and engine fandisks that can fracture (from UA 232). AA 191 was the engine falling off because you're supposed to remove the engine, then its pylon for inspection, but AA took them both off together. AA 96 had a cargo door blowout, as did THY 981. ANZ 901 hit a mountain. UA 232, a fandisk fracture.
@ytpfsx LOL Yeah the DC-10 really should've been made better. Too many improvements = Boeing buys McDonnell-Douglas. And LOL yeah all the accidents I've seen with a 737, most of them have been in the 737-200 or 737-300. Quite sad really. And yes, the MD-11 is awesome :). Especially the one from PMDG.
This is the best CLS aircraft. I do not like the other ones. But it would be great if it would offer more realism like a working FMC. Flying real world routes with this aircraft is not really possible.*
*I know, the developers have a different approach.
Why do you bother with these landings? Seriously... It's so bad I really struggle to think what good can come of these videos that I can only describe as crimes to Newtons Laws. Maybe one day you will get behind the stick (or on top of [because I know you roll like that, don't lie to me bitch]) of a real craft, maybe one day you will die as god intended you to. I for one will like that. I would like that alot. Please could you get behind the stick of a real aircraft? I'll even pay...
What will your next video be, a review on a new joystick perhaps? Or maybe it will be you saying it's a review but it's actually you telling people how to use a fucking joystick or maybe you just put it up your ass and thrust it around a little and you think that suffices as a real review....
That's the Hard Landing... Could be better. But you are luck at the bounce didn't happen the way it happened with fed-ex flight accident at tokyo. Sole of Flight Crew of that flight rest in peace.
@FlyBoeing777 Really I have nothing against FedEx. If they offered me a job I would take it in a heartbeat! Just a joking rivalry I have against myself... nothing personal to anyone at FedEx! haha
Whats the major difference? Wouldn't those be the same thing? or am I wrong? I want to be an airline pilot so any info (no matter how non-essential) is helpful to me. Thanks =)
Actually you fucking moron you did Not. You said, "The fact that you came in above the glide slop is evidence that the shitty landing this is."
VIDEA DESCRIPTION: the approach glide slope takes the aircraft down a steep hillside that would be possibly dangerous in real world operations. The aircraft appears to be above the glide slope which was indicating by the PAPI lights but it would seem that FS has the glide slope far too shallow for that runway.
you are an idiot an u know it wel i men hello mabye we craks you up but thats how we are and u i men that u shud get a life instead of complaning about Flight simer :/
nah, you'd kill the gear. It might not crash, but the gear would blow. you are usualy aiming for a touchdown of -20fpm to -80fpm. -300fpm is heavy. -500fpm is starting to get serious. -800fpm is horrible!
With AGS (animated ground servicing) You use shift E and then 2 or 3 etc. Shift E just opens the door. Nor mally there would be a trim wheel in the A320 or maybe the wheels on the throttle quadrant. With the map the best i can help you with is the default map but after ATC tell you where to taxi to, look in the ATC box and there with be writing saying turn on progressive taxi. That will light up a path on the taxiways.
I would have gone around and given it another shot. You came in way too high (PAPI) and in result you got a don't sink warning and bounced a bit on landing (gear compresses, then extends and compresses again). In the real world that would have been a lot of stress for the structure, even gear damage would be possible.
yes. when some airplanes GPWS says "Dont Think" it really means "Dont even think about putting my fucking wheels on the runway at this descent rate you bitch" but some pilots thought it was offending them and got pretty pissed off
Ha, who said i'm miserable? I used to genuinely think it said "Don't think" i'd stop moving the controls on flightsim and just watch the screen. no wonder my landings were so bad :P
Just to help a little, in real world procedures you keep your engines up to power until about 20 feet, this ensures that if the pilot needs to make an immediate go-around his/her engines do not need to spool all the way back up at around 100 feet. another reason is that if you do idle at 100 feet your aircraft will most likely stall especially once you flare. Great video and just remember not to reduce throttle until around 20 feet and your landings will be smooth as silk.
Just to let you know, that runway is never used at San Francisco International Airport. Runways 19L, 19R, 28L, and 28R are the only runways used for landings. Takeoffs occur from all the runways.
Wow, I van see why your landing was hard, I also get the problem where theres inconveniently placed tall trees at the start of mountain runways...its very annoying.
People take off of it, its a departure only runway. They land on the 19R side. Its used for departures, but never for arrivals, unless obviously emergencies.

why don't you just use FSrecorder? it replays everything perfectly, no laggy or anything. And it doesn't have that red box on your left-down corner saying "Esc 21". It will still make your vids look "live".
What makes my content different is that I am always going for that "live" recording effect. I don't like to use those programs because I rather create my content in a way that is unique to my channel and format.

The PAPI lights for this runway seem to indicate that the aircraft needs to almost touch the hillside to be on "proper" glide slope.
The landing was acceptable. A little rough, yes, but not horrific. The landing gear suspension gives that false appearance.

Just to help a little, in real world procedures you keep your engines up to power until about 20 feet, this ensures that if the pilot needs to make an immediate go-around his/her engines do not need to spool all the way back up at around 100 feet. another reason is that if you do idle at 100 feet your aircraft will most likely stall especially once you flare. why don't you just use FSrecorder? it replays everything perfectly, no laggy or anything. And it doesn't have that red box on your left-down corner saying "Esc 21". It will still make your vids look "live".

What makes my content different is that I am always going for that "live" recording effect. I don't like to use those programs because I rather create my content in a way that is unique to my channel and format.
