  • Modern Irish step dancing looks like it's starting to converge with sean nos ,and Canadian step dancing as far as arm movements are concerned at least in public performances but maybe they should be permitted at Feisanna as well !! LOL

  • Scott and Lisa....what a match they make :)

  • cool i hate irish jigs no offence coz in music lesson we had 2 make up our own and myn sounded like a funeral march lol i think am gunna get a low mark so if i see that word _ _ _ agen ill totaly scream lol

  • Good thing this is an Irish reel then huh?

  • i thought they were good not professional but good and it was irish dancing but with some changes

  • I dont know who you all say they aren't good. You need to take into consideration it was not a traditional irish dance but a show dance, and as for a show dance they rooock :)

Just look at the foot work simply marvelous.

  • Like the song better than the dancers :P

  • That is un real I want to do it

  • i love mick donegan =D

  • I agree with IDer93,as a fellow irish dancer,it looks bad with your arms out everywhere.

    Sugar Puff xxx

  • its a different style is all!

  • Great dancers , but i really would of prefered it if their arms were in the whole time like IDers. I think they were trying to recreate Flatley with their hands here there and everywhere and it just didnt work for me in that point.

  • the hand movements are actually a characteristic of sean nós irish dancing...flatley didnt invent this...so i dont agree they are trying 2 recreate him!

  • Im not saying that Flatley created dancing with arms in the air ,everybody has their own styles of dancing and as a dancer i respect that. I just thought when the first male danced when he would do kicks and his arms would be more outward than usual and looked like a loss of balenc. To me it looked if he would of had his arms in while dancing that his arms would come out more. I respect its creative dancing though , and not a feis.

  • i definitely agree with FairyHarper on this.plus when you're dancing and having fun, you dont worry so much about your arms and you relax so you just kinda let them do whatever they want :P

  • Picky picky! I actually like it, things can change and modernize. I like that they are moving around. I always hated how staunch traditional irish dancers moved around like stiff boards. I think it makes it warmer and more entertaining.

  • they are both just different styles of dancing and i do like the whole arms thing goin on origanlly from the connamara are i believe there are some gud examples in my favroites if u are interested in taking a look(tho u might have seen them already!). I think it looks espically good when the guys do it more so than the girls!

  • i think its just old styles coming back in fashion, a relaxed stance isnt something thats newly created, if u search the oireachtas you'll see some great videos of dancers dancing this sean nós style!!:D

  • Actually it looks to me like they are trying to recreate a bit more of a jam session atmosphere than a strict formal dancing one. When you are having fun with your friends, just being silly where your arms are become less important. They are enjoying themselves, and it is nice to see once in awhile.

  • ahaha i wish my friends and i could dance like this. XD

  • Too right... Those toestands! O.O

  • i really do think its the old style of dancing coming into this, just because what they are doing with their arms looks more relaxed it dose not mean it is is less important i can tell u it takes just as much skill as the stance of a solo step dancer!

  • the show was brillent the best act won luved

    them all xxxxxxxxxxx

  • this is beoga?they are fantastic music group...

  • very nice...and the music is wonderful.what is this song?the irish are the best!

  • Well i loved this performance, it was very engergetic!!

  • wait... are these the contestants learning the dances or are they the ones set on here to teach?
