Emily's such a sweetie. :3 By the time Victor was Downstairs, sitting at the bar with all the people, I think I really liked her by that point. She's so likeable; she really does have a good personality.

I like the three main characters a lot. Victor's shy at the beginning, then he's hardcore at the end, and Emily's strong through the whole movie and her protective side shows, and Victoria is smart, kind, and stands up for herself (hard in that time period).

It's not really fair to compare them because Emily no longer has to deal with the restraints Victoria has in the land of the living. Emily doesn't have horrible parents that control her all the time, or marry her off for money, or stuff her into corsets that stop her non existent breath. Emily is allowed by people who care about her and let her be who she is, whilst Victoria isn't.

When Victoria gets married, the only person who expresses any emotion about it is her old nanny. None of her family or her parents care. I actually wouldn't surprised if Victoria was more like Emily when she ends up in the Land of the Dead and she can be free to be who she is. :P

@CinnabonChan Thats the point of the movie. Tim Burton made the living world dreary and dark, but made the dead land (which could be a place between heaven and hell) joyous. Almost as if implying that being dead is a great thing.

The living characters in the movie, are mostly horrible to eachother. Emily is loved by the other denizens of the dead who all want to help out and get involved at her wedding. Victoria? Her parents just see her wedding as a business transaction, and her as a bargaining chip to be traded away.
