Lacuna Coil's best song. EVER!!! So toching emotional and inspiring I almost cry when I listen to it! It is based on the true story of a friend of the band, that died of drug overdose, commiting suicide actually. They couldn't be near him when he went through depression and they felt guilty for his death so they wrote Within Me.

Just been reading some of the other comments on here. There is beauty in sad, mournful music, it's weird to say that but it's true.  Nirvana made overdriven, angst-ridden music in the 90s, but it didn't stop "Nevermind" doing 20 million copies. There's nothing wrong with music speaking to people's negative emotions, I think it's good for music to provide a release for those types of emotions.

I like Lacuna Coil. Not one of my favourite rock/metal bands (yet!), but they've got some good songs and this is one of them. I got "Comalies" recently, that had some decent songs on it. I think Cristina and Andrea harmonise well here, and Cristina's got a damn good voice that carries a lot of Lacuna's choruses.

Does anyone else think that some of the trees in this video look like they're straight out of "The Village"? ;-)

I agree actually century media has some of the lowest quality videos ever, check out Cain by Tiamat, there are fans with better cain vids than century media. I agree not HD, century media is an odd company once at Milwaukee Metalfest they were selling what appeared to be bootleged vhs/dvd/cds many ppl got the wrong band after opening cds. But they get a lot my fave music into the US so kudos there
