i have a question.i have 1 the same from 98 and it wont stay at idle rev.she revs up to 3000 and wont come down,do u have any ideea wats the problem,?,i check the idle cable,the accelerate cable,the choke,pls if u know write back
I have an 07 600r and it will float the front tire in 3rd gear lol. I have a few upgrades though......d&d pipe, -1+2 sprocket upgrade, and k&n filter but no major upgrades. Wheelies come with practice and if you can't pull your bike up in 2nd try doing it in first and then shift through the gears, but always have another rider with you though!!!

Nice riddin! Are you having to work the cluctch to get the front wheel up? I have the same bike, only with a stock exhaust, and I have a really hard to getting the front wheel off the ground.
are you in second gear, and then slip the clutch and pop it up at the same time? I'm just wondering because I have had no luck gettin the wheel up, I have tried several times since I got the bike new, but no luck. help out please
I have a 97 and the only way to get the wheel up is poppin the clutch in first, im sure the newer models have enough torque to allow you to pop it in second like this guy says he does.
I have a 97 as well. With stock drive ratio I can pull around 180 top speed with gps, though odometer reads 188. The engine is not entirely stock and I'm running a VH ss2 pipe. With a 520 conversion on your final drive, you will lose some top end, however you will then have trouble keeping the front end down! Use the 520 down one tooth each sprocket and you'll be very pleased.

The clutch is used. It is two velocity gear and it is Willie with a clutch. :D

@sether9174 crack the trhottle 2x in 1st gear @ 7-8000 rpm n bounce/power it up on the 2nd crack... its how i get mine up.....
