I've never watched this series before. My first impressions: the dialogue is not as witty as that of 'The Spectacular Spider-Man', and the characters are not as compelling as in 'Spider-Man: The Animated Series'.

This show is awesome. Damn, good shows that are cancelled is such a bad feeling. But I wish they could have used this animation, and these voice actors for the 1994-1998 Spider-Man Animated Series. I love that series all ready, but with this animation, it would have been perfect.

Wow, the show really missed the essence of Venom and Carnage. Spiderman was TERRIFIED of facing Venom alone, much less would he go against both at the same time while throwing jokes. Plus, Carnage and Venom hated each other, and were as much mutual enemies as they were of Spiderman.

why do all the really good Spider-Man series seem to stop way too early? First Unlimited and now Spectacular Spider-Man. And besides that, I don't understand what people like so much about Spider-Man TAS. I watched all 5 seasons and I was totally sick of it. I know it's very old, but people seem to prefer TAS over Spectacular or Unlimited. Why? "Because the artwork is better than in Spectacular" "because it has way more episodes". Still sucks compared to Unlimited and especially Spectacular!!!

@codafett Simply put, shooting down somebody's drone is cause for retaliation --- or harshly worded language --- against the offending nation in the real world. It's presumably the same even if the offending nation is another planetary civilization. The big mistake was not sending the Avengers along with Colonel Jameson; they're used to things like that.

I think it's that the symbiotes were supposed to of evolved, that also meant they were different so that spider-sense now gave him warning.

The problem with seeing that as an adult is that you only pick up the inconsistencies

- spider-sense tingling for venom

- spidey going faster than a space shuttle and his webbing not breaking with the pull

- the symbiotes not affected by the sound of the shuttle's propulsors (in the comics that's one of the ways he used to get rid of the symbiote)

- they destroy the shuttle's door and there's still oxygen in there

Also, one other mistake I've spotted: His spider sense goes off when Venom and Carnage arrive, but that shouldn't happen! Because Peter combined with the symbiote before, his spider sense never went off when Venom attacked! And I'm pretty sure that counted for Carnage, too!

If T.V. producers were smart, they'd look at how many different accounts have uploaded these episodes and how many views each clip receives.

One would advise that they relaunch the series. . .who knows, maybe make a story that ties into 2099
