  • Keene sounds like a total bastard from his wikipedia page, lol plagiarizes and deceives ppl left and right

  • 0:33 "the rules of chess are easy" - I disagree, a statistical person has no idea how pieces move, and even those who know all the moves sometimes try to play illegal moves.

  • high intelligence is required to be able to play chess well. so in a way at the high levels, chess is a measurement for intelligence. And I also belive that this guy doesnt want to admit to his poor intellince.

  • @Jaacoopp There is a lot of truth in what you say, but there is also a lot which is not true at all. Once you get past about 1600 elo, opening theory and past positions analyzed become huge components of ones skill. What allows people to occasionally beat computers is not brute logic, but pattern recognition. Also, the greats such as Fisher believed that "chess was dead" as a patzer could gain enough of an advantage over a genius like Capablanca because of opening theory to win the game.

  • @analyticannoyance I agree.

  • Interesting as this is, I can't stop hearing porn for pawn...

  • @TuuttyFuckingFruity "....with more time, I would have beaten him..." ha ha ha

  • I am a chessmonster

  • who thinks chess is a measure of intelligence? wtflol

  • @TomValedro

most ppl on earth think so, and think whoever is good at chess is a genius or prodigy and must have astronomical intelligence to be a master

in fact they are just intelligent at chess, most are average in every other sense

  • i am a chess master

  • I bet that guy talking at 00:50 is a poor chess player doesn't want to admit his poor intelligence. what dou u think? LoL

  • @Aang4Katara I'd say he's right. Why would chess equal intelligence?

  • @Aang4Katara chess is not a measure of intelligence!!!! ches is a game of mental "skill" and skills improve through training! Richard Feynaman was a super genius but wasnt good at chess so what do you think?

  • Has Harriett Hunt had all her furniture repossessed?

  • Ray Keene is a Satanic Necrophile from the planet Olderon, he lives of those he kills and the fear he strikes into the hearts of young children. He is a menace to society and should be prosecuted for his malicious crimes against the world.

  • @MrCoonamatata lol care to back that up?

    I thought not.

  • Bobby fisher was naturally talented at a young age, and intelligent but he worked harder than anyone else at it. Intelligence was only a part of the equation and probably a smaller part than people think.

  • i heart squares

  • Hello Jessica, very nice upload! A documentary like this i never seen on german tv. During this part of course i had to think about your bullet question againe, another main reason to play bullet is the chance to use "bad" openings, an extravagance one doesnt have in slow games! (my advice is the "Killer Grob" :-)

  • i of course ment those who discovered something first needed ultra high intelligence

  • @dragonheadofthewest not only intelligence, but creativity also ;D

  • i dont know what he means with chess ability but its definelty a matter of intelligence!!!you want to say it wasnt fischers intelligence that made him superior, or that made him totally refute the kings gambit.. i know to some degree its just memorising or studieng... but when its goes beyond a certain strength its intelligence!! for example doing waiting move while having someone elses king in the pin. no1 thinks of untill you saw it once, but those who did it once needed ultra high intelligenc
