Teodora should have gotten the fame she was way better than Nadia and Teodora was more graceful than Nadia was on floor. I hate how underrated Teodora was she was an amazing gymnast
@LenaLuver Nadia herself said, in an interview around that time, that she considered Teodora to be her main competition--sounds as though Nadia did understand that there was a certain arbitrariness to how their careers played out.
She was a beautiful gymnast. This is a wonderful routine; she actually uses the Comaneci Dismount here as well. Nadia had the Comaneci Salto in her routine though, which edged Teodora's routine out regarding difficulty; the Comaneci Salto is still an E level skill today!
wow she reallu was great. its too bad though. she and nadia seem to be about the same skill level. but nadia got the better of it. not saying that nadias not great, she is. its just sad.
Wow, uneven bar routines were so much more interesting and different back in the day. I appreciate the amount of skill and talent it takes for the girls to do what they're doing on bars today, but the routines from the past, especially from people like Nadia and Olga, were so much more fascinating to watch.
The legendary Teodora Ungureanu-one of the great Romanians. Thank you for posting this! :) She scored 9.90 each time on bars to win silver on UB. She deserved the bronze in the AA. She was robbed on FX-lowballed each time she performed her captivating routine.
This could have easily scored a 10.00 as well as Nadia's.
