  • No Van Halen???

  • well as a while song i don`t know but as a riff i think Dire Straights - Money for Nothing is one of the best...

  • NO Journey- Stone in Love? give the band some credit, a great rift

  • hmmmh i really want to find a cool guy who wants to chat with me

  • i notice a distinct lack of anything not either english or american...

  • Kansas Carry on Wayward son??? Awseom riff where is it

  • where is abother brick on the wall by pink floyd?

  • what the hell...not one Stevie Ray Vaughn Riff........Rude Mood!

  • so good but where is " sistem of and down"

  • most known - Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit.

  • should of had the clash for london calling, and also pretty much every acdc song is a great riff lol

  • Good, but Bon Jovi? and Europe?

  • Guns and roses all the way

  • Money for Nothing takes it, with out a doubt

  • the idea of the video is nice, but some things are not that good. like the absence of megadeth (they have slow stuff) or RHCP

  • a little more metallica too..

  • not much ACDC!

  • cool vid !

  • bit more ac/dc please. bak in black, for those about to rock, thunderstruck?

  • good... but it could`ve been better

  • joe walsh is up there with the best you fuckin cunt

  • there was one thing you, without a shadow of a doubt, did right.. Smells Like Teen Spirit....

  • I think KISS- Reason To Live have a very good riff(It's more keyboard, then)

    Your opinion!

  • Ever heard of Van Halen or Queen?

  • Not sure that Blitzkrieg Bop should be included as a "riff". It was the whole song really!

  • nice !!!

  • where's Van Halen? and you did the worst mistake.. :D

NO BLACK SABBATH, NO LED ZEPPELIN

  • Oversight on the Van Halen part,

Please see the video response above for Black Sabbath and Led Zep (1964 to 1975). Some say there is too much Zep on that video, which I say is impossible.

  • you missed a lot of great guitar riffs in the 90s too man

  • Long time ago i heard eleanor rigby played by a very good rocker lead guitar, probably is 1970s, i never heared again, probably you have heared it and you know who is. something like a violin sound

  • no van halen? no pearl jam? no iron maiden? good choice puttin rage against the machine up though.

  • you know im surprised that 5 minutes alone was here but cowboys from hell wasnt

  • I was about to type the exact same thing in the comment box!

  • man if u had van halen it be amazing still good though

  • The Stranglers?

    Aerosmith?

    Pearl Jam?

    Neil Young?

    Lynyrd Skynyrd?

  • where is iron maiden?! Anyway, good video :)

  • awesome

  • good list man, but you diddddd forget van halen.

  • i would've liked to see THIN LIZZY up there.

    great job, though.

i added it to my favorites.

  • fantastic

  • Where the fuck is van halen!!?? Good list though

  • White Stripes - Seven Nation Army 2003??

  • van halen????????

  • no hendrix? led zeppelin? :(

i enjoyed listening to the list tho :)

my list would of had a bit of "kick out the jams", "Kiss", and "new born". "Ziggy Stardust" is another good one. The riff are endless to decide on

  • no hendrix? led zeppelin? :(

You have to check out my 1964 to 1975 video. So much Zep you might even get tired of them :)

  • impossible

  • This is so damn true!

  • actually du hast is 1997...and thats not even rammstein best quitar solo :)

  • which one is?

  • kind of subjective

actually...the du hast solo isnt very distinct...its more a riff

    heirate mich is really cool

    and weisses fleisch

    or links 2 3 4.

use any of those in a vid next to these ones above, and they will shit themselves

  • if you are interested in rammstein quitar riffs...i made my own top 20 best rammstein quitar riffs/solos.

  • Lateralus?!

  • very nice compilation........

  • No 2003+ ?

  • Joe Walsh Life's Been good not old footage... recorded w/Eagles on 2nd reunion tour or whatever, but overall great job.

  • thanks

couldn't find old footage, he probably copyrights it all

  • Very representative. Reminds me of Camaros and stoners in the 70's

  • Very very good... but its unforgivable that Queen doesnt appear

  • but which riff?

  • There's so many!: I want it all, Hammer to fall, One vision, Tie your mother down, Keep yourself alive.... do u want more?

  • you're absolutely right

  • Nice list but Van Halen Panama anyone?

  • It's HIS list. Stop bitching.

  • Where's "Layla?" Why did you start at 76?

    No ,

    Aerosmith

    Alice Cooper

    Def Leppard

    Queen

Great Idea, but you are missing some greats.

  • Please see my 1964 to 1975 video list

and also 1945 to 1963 and 1924 to 1945 big bands (neither with video)

Althought I still missed all but one of your suggestions (maybe part 2)

  • not a single queen riff?

  • yea,whats up with that

  • would have thought Smoke On The Water would have been on the list

  • Please see my 1964 to 1975 list

  • I love the idea, but you missed:

    -*RUSH* (many, many, many songs)

    -Thin Lizzy (Jailbreak)

-Steve Miller Band (Fly Like an Eagle)

    -Cheap Trick

    -Pink Floyd (The Wall, Animals)

You get the point. Thanks for the video

  • Why didnt you put any Kiss, or Rolling Stones?
