Its pretty weak that the cayman with more power ( on paper atleast) can barely pull on a 335ci... ( which weighs like 1750kg) ... hardly impressive.... Its clear that the car in the race is a 335ci ( you can hear its whooshing twin turbo 6 soundtrack) , while the car videoed after the race is obviously an m3.

Try this against a 135i , and I guarantee the Porsche is going nowhere but backwards. The Cayman S is a sweet handling mid engined sports car with pretty mediocre straight line speed.

The Porsche Cayman is only "gay" according to the ignorant and those with tiny pee pee syndrome.

The Cayman's mid engine power train set up is dynamically superior to the 911's FULL DIAPER 39/61 distribution. Porsche knows this but because they don't want to upset a bunch of current 911 nutswingers they're not in a hurry to admit the sad truth.

All you get for 17k + the price of the Cayman S is slightly quicker straightline a tiny back set and worse handling

Again the 335i doesn't stand a chance in hell against a 09+ Porsche Cayman S. The Cayman S will embrasses it Everywhere. The 335i doesn't run 4.3 0-60 or a 12.8@110mph like the Porsche Cayman S. Race around a race track and it's 10 times even worse for the BMW 335i. The E92 M3 is only slightly quicker in a straight line but the Cayman S handles better. The E92 M3 and Cayman S run similar lap times. The 335i isn't even close. Cayman handles better than 911.

Only fucking morons think the Porsche Cayman is the "Poor man's 911". The ONLY thing the Cayman lacks vs. the 911 is a bit of power otherwise it's superior. Despite being down on power (because Porsche wants to keep 911 sales high) the Cayman S still runs just as quick / quicker vs. the 911 and 911s around most race tracks. The Cayman S is more about handling but can still run 12.8@111mph which blows the doors of the 335i.

The 09' Porsche Cayman S and the E92 M3 run very similair lap times. The M3 is slightly quicker in a straight line but the Cayman is a better handler. The Cayman's mid engine drivetrain set up is actually superior to the 911's full diaper. The only thing the 911 has on the Cayman S is a bit of straight line power, a tiny back seat and the all important "911 badge". That's what the extra 17k over the Cayman S gets you.

There's no way in hell a stock BMW 335i is keeping up with a 09+Cayman S. Hell even the older model Cayman S would be an issue. The older (295hp) Cayman S could run 13.3@106-108. The 09+ is in another league.

Oh and to call the Porsche Cayman "Gay" you know shit about cars. The Porsche Cayman is one of the best sports cars ever made. It's far from a "poor mans 911" as the ignorant like to say.

40-50hp is the only thing keeping the 911 on top stats wise.
