6month anniversary was today I went cried, remember all of those who lost their lives and pray I lost my cat and almost lost my two year old sister step mom and dad and I lost my house
I was in the walmart that got hit,. it was unbelievable how we lived... so much damage. I had at least 2 dead people 10 feet away from me,a woman with a broken back laying in my lap, strangers everywhere... It's so weird how you can feel close to these people just because we saw our lives flash before our eyes together.. I'm young, and going to have to live with this for the rest of my life. Traumatizing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I was in Walmart just a couple days ago down here in Miami, OK and 7 out 10 people had carts filled with water, pillows, blankets, canned food and so much more that they where buying to donate to Joplin. Miami is about 35 min away from Joplin. It let me know that the people of Joplin are not alone. I know that other cities are doing the same. Don't give up hope God is with you.
@leanbodylifestyle Hey man =) I loved your videos and subscribed andi came across these.. I live in Pierce City, Mo not even 20-30 minutes away from Joplin.. I had family up in Joplin so you could say its like a second home town.. But I agree anyone that cares should really consider making a difference in these peoples lives..
I always wonder how people rebuild, but they do, Where do they put all the debris But, in time, it will be rebuilt and strange as it may seem, be a memory to those involved however that may be. People are resilient. It has been shown for centuries. I wish only the best for these people and may God help them bring back the normalcy they seek again.
I have a friend who lives in Centerton - it's not too far from Joplin. He'd go up there all the time.
When his power got restored and I asked him how the town was doing, he told me that Centerton was fine, but that when they went up to Joplin to help a relative out, it was almost like half the city had been razed to the ground.
So many people have been asking about Rangeline Rd. Thank you for posting a video. Maybe it will help keep people at home. I know everyone wants to see, but the people of Joplin have lost so much. How would you feel if you lost everything? I wouldn't want people gawking at me... God Bless everyone!
I had no idea that you were down that way. If that's the main strip in Joplin, it's truly unrecognizable. I truly though that tornados didn't hit cities (Joplin isn't KC, but it's still a city sorta). I can only imagine the total extent of the damage. My prayers from KCMO go out to you, your family, and the entire population of Joplin, MO.
@leanbodylifestyle Hey man, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole town of Joplin. I live in Alabama and we were hit last month. Luckily it missed me by 3 miles. It's times like this that remind us that we need each other. God bless!!
I totally can understand how you are feeling right now. I am from Alabama and as you know the same thing happen here just a few weeks ago. There are areas just a few minutes on either side of me that were nearly wiped out as well.
@sgtmyers88 I'm from country which is placed almost on the other side of Earth and I'm shocked, and you're just pissed beacuse your pizza place is destroyed? Damn man.. you're sick.
@WNUKOWSKy Jesus fucking christ don't be so quick to judge as I have been stunned by this whole event since the night it happened. I knew this town well and the people in it.
@WNUKOWSKy And for your information a school I had went to is likely gone the Walmart I once shopped at is gone the hospital I once have been admitted to a couple times in the past is gone and several other restaurants and stores I knew are gone. Thanks to this video I had also noticed that on top of all the other things gone is my favorite pizza place that you flamed me about. Thank you and have a great day.
@WNUKOWSKy Dude, a lot of us are from Joplin, that place had some of the best pizza on Earth. It was a Joplin institution. And it's gone. Not only have we lost a great place to spend time with friends and family, but a small part of our town's identity has gone with it. Also, the owners said they may not rebuild. I think after everything this town has been through recently, we can choose to be upset by whatever we want right now.
I'm not sure whether to hit 'like' on this video or not, of course I don't 'like' the devastation, but I want to give support to Michael and everyone, hitting 'dislike' certainly isn't going to help.............I hit like in the long run. Thinking of everyone in that area.
Omg Kory.... I'm so so sorry. Thank you so much for taking this video. I've been wondering how Rangeline held up. No one on the news would show it. Ugh... I just can't even believe this happened. My heart is crushed right now. I hope you and your family are holdin' up alright. I'll be down there in a few weeks to help clean up or... something. Anything.
I'm prayin' for you guys. Stay Strong and hang in there. Love you!!! <3
When the news said that a tornado hit Joplin I said "no way, impossible!"

I was raised around the Joplin area. My
First job was in Joplin. This is really incredible!!!
It looks worse than I imagined. Its completely destroyed beyond recognition.
It will take 20 years to rebuild.
WTF can't believe it!

My God. The devastation. It makes me remember that phrase from Apocalypse Now: "The horror... the horror."
If any one knows Mark Morrell in Joplin, please send my regards. He and I were stationed in Fort Riley in 82.
God have mercy.
