I'm surprised by the 360, other tests I've seen it has eaten the Porsche Turbo, and the 997 Carrera S. Although all these shows are different. I love that NSX though!

I know the nsx-r is lighter, but even then I think it has more HP than the specs says. Here in the youtube I found a video of a stock nsx (not R) with 247 rwhp, that is close to 290 hp at the engine. I would bet the nsx-r would get 300hp...

@shift9303 ok point taken, i apologize. I feel the test was biased due to them saying that the nsx was on better tires and better struts. I felt that the nsx had better tires and better suspension ergo better handling. Also the honda is a lot lighter then the competition contributing to the handling. If they really wanted to test it correctly, they should have eleminated the driver variable and had the each driver run time attacks in each car and then compared. I own a 350Z, and they are right. You have to drive it "neat" and keep your line tight to make it fast. When the rear steps out, it is fun but very, very slow. Too bad they did this test before the Bridgestone Potenza 050A's made it onto the wheels and the HR engine. It might have made the Z look a little better because the 050A's are much better matched for the Z (I know cuz I have had both 040 and 050A tires).
That's all youtubers seem to do huh; 350Zs are a 30k car new, just being considered competition is an achievement its self, lol. I drove my friends 350Z for a few hours, the car is a great little go cart. Just being in it for 20 mins and I felt like Ive driven it for years! I was drifting circles around speed bumps in empty parking lots with ease. I even beat a GTO at a stop light race...dont think he knew how to drive.

sorry bmi i call bullshit on this vid. a ferrari loosing to a honda its clear that the race was tailerd towards the honda. they even said that the honda was set up for track use while the other cars were not. @ljguy300 You really don't know much about that NSX do you? Yes it's "just" a Honda. But just because a car is more expensive doesn't make it faster. An NSX-R has done a 7:56 lap around Nordschliefe, which is 13 seconds faster than the fastest time clocked by a 360 Modena.

@ljguy300 The NSX-R is a factory tuned car like the rest of them. It's basically like every R model Honda has made. It's lighter, and with a tuned suspension, that's it. Same with the Integra R. If you ask me, this race is more of a price comparison to see how the new Porsches handle against other cars in the price range. The Porsche S here costs the same as the NSX. The 360 is more than double! Also, if you pay attention, the F430 has just debuted when this was filmed.

The 911s are also compromised street cars that are alot heavier than NSXs. Also, it's common knowledge that the NSX-R doesn't actually have only 280 hp, so the hp advantage isn't much, especially on this tight track. The NSX-R is the GT3RS of Honda (well actually more like the GT2 or Carrera GT since it's their flagship), so they should use the GT3 vs it or a regular NSX.

Japanese cars dont even compare to Euro cars. What has Europe given us. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Gumpert, Noble, Catharam. Ariel Atom. Japan has given us the NSX R, and the corolla. They are too proud of their cars, they are too proud of themselves, they dont consider themselves as a part of the world, I did a lot of research on japan for school, and i am sorry but they are too proud. they kill whales because they think there is enough. THIS TEST WAS BIASED.thats all there is to it

Awesome video, but if they're going to use the very best from Japan, they should at least use the GT3. Carrera vs NSX-R is hardly fair.

The 911s are also compromised street cars that are alot heavier than NSXs. Also, it's common knowledge that the NSX-R doesn't actually have only 280 hp, so the hp advantage isn't much, especially on this tight track. The NSX-R is the GT3RS of Honda (well actually more like the GT2 or Carrera GT since it's their flagship), so they should use the GT3 vs it or a regular NSX.
