  • Sid: I`ll kill you

  • This was the point in the match when Sid Vicious was cheated out of ruling the world!

  • YEAH! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)

  • the fans want sid more than hogan

  • ric flair is the man. He won the rumble and the title. No one has done that. I wondered if the wwe would do this again with one of the world titles on the line.

  • Is it just me or was that a particularly brutal whip that Slaughter took into the corner??

  • @abark i was thinking the same thing...sgt. slaughter went flying lol

  • YES! YES! YES! YESYESYES!!! YEESS!!!

    "I'll have what he's having"

  • Didn't Piper win the IC title earlier in this broadcast? He came very close to the end and could have won the WWF title as well. I guess it would be a repetition of what happened with Warrior 2 years prior, had Piper won both belts.

  • @SurvivorPaul16 Piper certainly did win the IC belt from The Mountie earlier in the PPV. I just wish his only title win was from a more worthy opponent. As for the ending of this Rumble, I would have marked out for a Piper/Flair showdown at the end with Flair coming out on top, teasing a second win and title for Piper all the way. This ending damaged Hogan's good guy image and made Sid Justice look stupid after throwing all those men out, almost ruining what was an excellent Royal Rumble.

  • They beginning of the end of Hulk a Mania

  • @pepelepew2006 Or at least for a little while.

  • yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! yes! i told you!

  • did Slaughter crack his head 1:00? Made hell of a noise (slightly delayed here)

  • @marsharent It was an ugly bump, but he had done that spot before. Back at SummerSlam 91 I think when he went into the corner the cameraman was standing by the post and Slaughter went up and over and smacked his face into the camera.

In this video (with proper audio synch) it sounded like he cracked his sternom going into the corner, but I think he just slapped the turnbuckle pad for added SFX (like Tajiri adding audio to his kicks).

Still makes me wince cause it looks painful.

  • I'm slightly disappointed you didnt leave in the legendary promo Ric gives after the match.

  • I dont care what he has supposedly "done" for the business. Hogan was, and still is, a prick

  • When I watched this a long time ago I felt that Hogan was cheated there.

  • Damn. Hulk is a douche.

  • Not a Flair fan but Hogan stole his thunder after winning, should have been Flairs time to celebrate but no Hogan took centre of attention like always.

  • Sid....lol what did he accomplished in WWE?...he didn't last very long

  • YES,YES,YES?YES,YESYESYESYYEEEEEEEEEESSSS. I TOLD U. Heenan wonderful:)

  • Wanna know the irony here at the end? Hogan, the "big hero" basically turned straight sore loser after being eliminated fair and square by Sid. But as a Flair fan, this was definitely fun to watch for me. Especially the post match promo by Flair.

  • Those most def R cheers we hear when Hogan gets tossed, which is not what Vince expected. This was supposed 2 help set up &/or cement Sid's heel turn since he "snuck up from behind" 2 eliminate Hogan, but Sid was still totally over as a face. In the end, the fans in attendance didn't really know what 2 make of this & who they were supposed 2 B cheering & booing 4.

  • @Tarantulisimo Sid was absolutely over. I LOVED Sid a this point and was so pissed he got screwed at the end of this. I was 10 and wanted him to win soooooo bad lol.

  • I still remember watching this live. Even though Flair was a baddie, I was still really happy be won.

  • 4:09 for all botchamainia fans

  • the greatest royal rumble victory ever wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • @apodino gorilla still defended hulk 24/7 though

  • At 3:40 what was that? Gee, sounded like cheers to me when Sid tosses Hogan's ass out. Then 4:00 when the sore loser goes to pull Sid out, what do I hear? Sounds like boos to me! Why Hogan marks can't just admit this I have no idea.

  • @Antrizzle2009 Maybe you're the only one who cares? We sure as hell don't.

  • @asnlunatic Enough comments on here would beg the contrary.

  • @Antrizzle2009 Hulkamania was dying during this time. I was into people like Sid, Bret Hart, Undertaker, etc at the time.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheKBEES

its valid. happened in a lot of rumbles.plenty of examples. usually to build non title feuds between the two for wrestlemania.

  • @TheKBEES Yeah lol that WAS brutal!!!

  • what no bushwackers!

  • i remember my prediction to win that rumble was sid justice. Sid did had it won. Sids mistake was hogan got his attention. Hogan was such a cry baby

  • hogan is a dick

  • hogan such a bad loser! every man for himself! damn right the crowd were cheering for sid at the end!

  • does anyone know the name of the blond official (with brown jacket) who enters thhe ring at 5:11 - he seems to make a lot of appearances at wrestling events in the 80/90's

  • @col377e the blond official happens to be rene goulet a former wwf tag team champion he stopped doing official fights/breakups in 1997 after wrestlemania 13

  • the golden age of wwf love the attitude era but this is when it was mostly top wrestlers involved the only guy missing from this match was bret hart

  • As i watch this ive just heard that Bobby Heenans health has deteriorated again, so hopefully he's still alive when you read this, we lost Savage yesterday, hope the Brain sticks around.

The 92 rumble will always be the mans finest moment for me and, with all due respect to JR, Lawler and Styles at their best, this is the single most entertaining and hysterical commentry ever.

Also much love to the great Gorilla Monsoon for playing off Heenan so well.

    Man i miss those days

  • I love how Hogan keeps looking at the crowd, as if to say, "Can you believe what Sid just did?" Yeah, asshole, what did you expect him to do?

  • Geez, hogan, warlord and sid going at it...how much red meat did those guys put away each day??

  • hey what happened to the undertaker

  • heÿ_Í_feél_s0_lÕñèlý_töDäy

  • wow... 03:37... has to be the easiest elimination of a top star ever in a rumble

  • dude, that was bad ass. I'll kill yaa!

  • dang, i hated that hogan jumped. in there i love that character but, wthell hater

  • really, why the in hell didn't Flair and Hogan have a "main event" type of match in the WWF? I know they technically have fought during their times in the WWF, but never in a pay-per-view. Why the HELL not?

  • @iwanttoseemrshow

    two words, hogans ego

  • damn Hogan acted like a fucking bitch Sid eleminated him fair and square then he pulls him out and after that he attacked Flir for winning because he made him win. onec and always Hulk is a ego centric Bitch. Good for Rick.

  • @hollywoodjokerpicalo You know all that was pre-determined before the match even started? Sorry to burst your bubble

  • @knockout01 whitch made everything Hogan did that much worse they could have come up with something that made Hogan look like honorable man. insted off an asshole.

  • That whole Sid-Hogan thing didn't go over how they planned at all. Sid legitimately eliminates Hogan and then Hogan cheats to get rid of Sid...the crowd was a little confused but clearly sided with Sid here. They had to re-dub the commentary with pro-Hogan verbiage and add boos for Sid when they replayed it.

  • Hogan is such a sorry ass cry baby jack ass. he couldn't let flair have his momment in the ring, he had to come back in and steal the spotlight, yet again. what a douche.

  • 1:00 that was the greatest elimination I've ever seen lol

  • I watch this Royal Rumble every few months. IT's the pinnacle of pro wrestling in the 80s. Yeah it was 92, but what made it great was developed going back yearssss

  • i think hennan set the record for saying yes the most times in 30 seconds.

  • I do watch this in 1992, I hope Hogan won't win this rumble since Hogan is past 2 rumble winners, it's boring if Hogan win a rumble again, I think those audience had same thought as me, no wonder they cheer when Hogan is eliminated by Sid.

  • I counted 43 Yes' by Heenan. Fucking legend he is.

  • You do know all this was choreographed.

  • Hulk Hogan's brother 5:13

  • This was the beginning of end of Hulkamania in WWF

  • @pepelepew2006 Yeah. Hogan pulling Sid out after he was eliminated was poor sportsmanship. He never recovered from this one factor

  • Remember how good wrestling used to be. Hogan and Sid are arguing while the officials are trying to stop them. Nowadays, the wrestlers fight in the ring while the official are trying to pull them apart. That's so boring, it's the same thing over and over again.

  • Heenan: You don't really know if it's gonna be the Warlord!

    Monsoon: It's gotta be!

Heenan: But you don't know for sure!

( Warlord enters through curtain as number 30)

Heenan: Yep I knew it!! I knew it was gonna be the Warlord!!

    LOL Heenan was hilarious!

  • Thanks for this. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but this takes me back to being a 9/10 year old and wanting to be a wrestler when I was older, superb

  • You got blue tights, you got yellow tights, you got pink tights! Then you have Slaughter in his overly tight army costume, IRS in his accountant work clothes, and Macho Man in some sort of retro 70's disco suit. Now this folks, is wrestling.

  • Hogan would have been like Cena today, loved by the kids, hated by everyone else. This Rumble showed it. When Hogan came out, you could here some people booing amongst the screams. And here at the end, the crowd was chanting for Sid.

  • @levetzow59

Cena, however, is much classier than Hogan.

  • Give it to Rick Flair he went an hour in the ring, this has to be the best Royal Rumble of all time hands down !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember still being a "Hulkamaniac" back then (although it was beginning to fade), but agreeing with Sid, "It's every man for himself!"

He didn't break any rules, he simply saw an opportunity and he took it. Hogan was eliminated fair and square, and to me, looked a little bit like a bitch to me the way he went after Sid.

  • The ending with monsoon describing why Sid and Hogan are in the ring ruined this royal rumble, he should've for the first time in WWF history say hogan was eliminated, and because he lost, he tried to pull the man out who did it. Instead of Sid comes from behind, and eliminates hogan, like Sid is a bad guy, gorilla monsoon always made hulk like a god in wrestling, even when he was 100% wrong

  • @peterversionone He would have been wrong if he said that. Hogan was eliminated in the 1989 Rumble by the Big Boss Man and Akeem.

  • Reading these comments I'm worried some of you think it's real, and with Hogan the guy can't win. He wins people bitch about his ego, he loses people bitch about his ego. I mean there are enough legit reasons to hate Hulk Hogan without making crap up where it just doesn't exist.

  • Hulk hogan owns the warlord. Hogan eliminated the warlord in royal rumble 1989, 1991 & 1992 with help from sid vicious this time.

  • One of the greatest days in wrestling history!

  • Watch Slaughter at 1:00 LOL

  • Ric Flair reminds me of Ben Stiller's character in dodgeball...

  • Ric Flair sure had balls of steel to last all the way through this intense wrestling battle! Vince McMahon probably choreographed this entire match to see if Ric Flair had the balls to make it straight through to victory.

    ~Mr. Make Believe

  • I remember in the days and weeks after this, whenever WWF showed this match, they would keep the ending but reedited the crowd noise and made it so that they booed Hogan's elimination instead of cheering it. In addition, Monsoon made a point of calling Sid a coward and how he should have been a man and not blindsided Hogan from behind.

  • Flair accomplished way more than Hogan

  • This really was Flair's night. Gotta love how he had a chance to work with so many people (except Dibiase). I think one of the interesting spots was when they had Flair, Martel and Hogan in the ring. At that point, you had the NWA, AWA and WWF champions from '85. Back then with PWI, they would rank Flair and Martel above Hogan. They could've made an interesting spot for that.

  • I like how Hogan looks back for sympathy and a bunch of fans couldnt give a shit

  • This may have been the best Royal Rumble ever. My favorite part was Piper vs Jake The Snake vs Ric Flare. If they had triple threat matches back then they would have been awsome. My favorite used to be 2001 where Stone Cold winds and Kane eliminated the most people ever, but I'm not sure I think I do have a new favorite Royal Rumble.

  • yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes

  • 5:01

Second fastest way to start a fight at the bar behind slapping someone

  • Did you all hear how the crowd cheered when Sid eliminated Hulk?

  • Hogan chasing Flair out of the ring clearly was scripted to set the stage for the Hogan/Justice feud.

  • sorry, i love chris jericho, always have....

but ric flair was the REAL first undisputed heavyweight champion. never lost the nwa heavyweight title, and won the wwf title

  • This would have been a perfect opportunity for Hogan to turn heel. The fans turned on him here and started cheering Sid. McMahon messed up here.

  • FLAIR DID IT!!!!!!!!

  • this is hollywood hulk hogan at his best.... he was already a heel....... he did for the money brother!!!!!

  • Ahh, we once again, get to see Hogan make Warlord his bitch in a Royal Rumble match

  • #30 The Warlord

  • what an incredible rumble! so good to watch, and what a fitting victory for the dirtiest player in the game! shame he didn't get to ceebrate his victory in the ring.

  • that is why ric flair is the greatest of all time

  • at 1:02 Sgt Slaughter gets skipped like a rock!!

  • LOLOL @ Bobby Heenan damn I guess he really is a Ric Flair fan at this point. Well good for Rick Flair, he did a good job here.

  • Hulk Hogan couldn’t let Flair have his moment of fan fare in the ring for a job well done No Hogan still wanted the limelight even though it was obvious to everyone at home & in the arena he didnt deserve it 2/2

  • Hulk Hogan is such an arrogant son of a bitch who believed he couldnt put a foot wrong. As long as he did it he thought the fans would never boo him, keep on cheering him & stick by him. But they did boo him & he didnt take to it well, cos Sid Justice had to go just for the simple reason he took out Hogan, And he couldnt let Flair have his big moment come out of character hand him the belt shake his hand for being the new champ & spending 65 entertaining miniutes in the ring 1/2

  • Holy Sh*t that Sid Justice Guy is STRONG i did not know him mmh interessting Thank God youtube makes it possible to watch all those Classic Matches i was to Young in the Ninethies so i couldnt See Matches with Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior and British Bulldog

    Man they were Amazing

  • there's ample evidence that hogan indeed got severely booed in the rumble & this was the time when most marks were waking up to hulkamania enhanced sleep to the "real" wrestling of the "real world champion" flair.

infact the sheets considered Sid to be modeled as the next hulk, instead vince turned him heel as the anabolic warrior returned to take that place

due to the drug & sex scandal hogan's career seem to be over after 8,but he ofcourse returned.this is also the time when taker turned face

  • @sayanroy36 Sex scandal?

WTF are you talking about, he was involved with steroids, nothing sexually related.

  • @NWpowerhouse85

i didnt mean hogan bro,i meant the wwe. in the early 90s just when they took vince to court over steroids, some of the jobbers came forward with stories of being offered a push for a lay & all that. it got some good prime time coverage, a ring crew kid got time in larry king claiming he had to suck patterson's dick. cowboy bob orton was one of the more famous guys who came forward and talked about sexual advances made by the bosses, there was nice little hoopla for a while

  • @sayanroy36 AHH, my bad then. Hogan's a self-centered prick, but I don't ever recall hearing about any sex scandals regarding him. I've heard about others though, particularly regarding Pat Patterson...

  • @sayanroy36 I think it was Bob's brother Barry (aka Barry O) that came forward about that.

  • @sayanroy36 Meanwhile,Pat Patterson would have screwed anybody in that locker room with no ulterior motives in mind because he is gay anyway.

  • Doesn't this make you mad? Look how good wrestling used to be. Nowadays the rumble is so quick and gimmicky. I can't wait to watch more 90s rumbles!

  • Some of you Hogan critics kill me....since MOST/ALL of you all don't know your facts. Dumb as fuck

  • Sid Justice's hair always made me think of Fried Chicken. Just look at it!

  • lol Hogan obviously doesn't understand the concept of "Every Man For Himself."

  • finally the real world's champion got his due,

AND EVEN BETTER was Sid getting cheered and the Pukestar getting booed. That really was unthinkable, vinnie mac dubbed out most of the sound, but he couldn't edit the Hukster's pained and hurt face

  • @sayanroy36 Bitch, Hogan didn't get booed....and this was SCRIPTED ..it was all planned out to set up Hogan and Sid's feud. Study your history, kid

  • @marcusrob02

"bitch"wo wo wo no wonder, people look down pon wrestling fans , coz of little rednecks like you

study my history?? no son, you study you'r history. this was the first time hogan got booed throughout the arena, in rumble & in house shows, mainly because flair had finally arrived in the e, the drug scandal (the interview in 20/20 & larry king had taken place at this time) & people were opennig eyes

but then again, what to expect from a kid, who has to say "its scripted!!"" genius.

  • very funny when heenan said no,no,no when hogan sid undertaker randy savage all entered because he was pro flair

  • A lot of great moments for Flair...but I think this was the greatest

  • I like the huge pop that came from the crowd after Sid eliminated Hogan. Shows how most of the fans were (and still are) sick of Hogan.

  • Were the cheers as loud as it was or did they toned down the cheers to make Hogan look good and Sid look bad?

  • @marcusrob02 Austin was the biggest draw in company history and put up the highest ratings in it's history.

  • remember in 1992 when hulk hogan and flair were called too old by the dirt sheets

  • I never noticed this as a young kid, but Sid Justice, Martel, and Hogan, as intimidating as they really are, come off really gay with their trunks. Then again, that goes as well as for some of the other guys (Macho Man, Warrior, etc.)

  • why is hogan such a bitch?

  • sid justice was such a disgusting guy.

  • I wonder what Flair's ass looked like in 92 ;)

  • I hate Hogan!What a sore loser he was.

  • lmao Heenan is so funny.

  • It's every man for himself... unless HULK HOGAN is eliminated! Boo hoo

  • Hulk Hogan is a prick, look how the crowd cheered when he was thrown out.

  • how many times did the "brain" say yes

  • because HE IS THE MOUNTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. and he was schedule for the ic title against bret but we all know what happened kayfabe and reality.

  • its amazing that the hypocrite known as hogan gets pissy about being eliminated by sid from behind when in fact he did the same thing in the 1989 royal rumble to bad news brown in which also caused macho man to get eliminated. did u see bad news crying nooooooooooo. always have and always will hate hogan.

  • I agree. I remember this the angle it was right when they were starting to turn Sid. The whole concept was "Geeze Sid threw Hogan out" and they had Hogan whine about it on Promos. Sort of defeats the purpose when its the "Royal Rumble" every man for himself.

  • @VisionofOrion

I've said that forever. Have Sid attack Hogan and toss him. Just throwing him over doesn't do much when it's a battle royal. I mean, what happens if one of them throws Flair out? Is the character supposed to expect Sid to exit and be a 'good Hulkamaniac'? LOL...the great thing to do would've been to turn HOGAN heel. If you lead into WM 8 with Flair/Savage...why not prep Sid to be the next great face? Warrior didn't finalize his return until like 15 days before WM 8. Dunno...

  • @cbaldwinjr Sid was supposed to be the next big face, but then he got injured right before Survival Series 91 (where Hogan lost the title to the Undertaker). after that they had to create a new "plan"...and I think Hogan did his "backstage policies" to hold Sid down!

  • Hogan is a whiny bitch. Justice saw a chance and he seized it.

  • Que bien Ric Flair el mejor siempre

    Woooooooooooooo!!!!

  • where is pt8

flairs winning speech and the closing theme/montage?

  • There's no part 8. It is just the RR match... I don't have the interviews afterwards. Sorry.

  • @kreed82 ...for the heck of it:

    watch?v=zXjD3SjX3yA

  • @serenity1158 for the heck of what?

  • @kreed82 watch?v=KVaPb24VJWo&feature=related its right here f anyone wants to see the interview after his of ric flair

  • @TheMethadoneParty thanks but i was also hoping for the montage too

  • @kreed82 flair's thoughts on the 92 royal rumble

  • @727Superstar what about it

  • @kreed82 thats the name of the video

  • @727Superstar I've seen it already and it cuts off before the montage shots of the whole event

  • Hogan is such a crybaby!!!!! Glad I got off the bandwagon early

  • classic rumble

  • he should of turned heel here shouldnvehad to wait 4 yrs

  • Sid was the man. Period.

  • why is hogan a bitch every time he gets eliminated from a rumble? for being such an icon, hes such a bitch in the rumbles

  • because he was egoistical as fuck, take Wm IX as an example.

  • Odd way for Slaughter to go. Funny how they just seem to ping out that way when two or three men can't push someone over the top :P

I can't believe they gave him it like like that.

  • Could Flair's hair been any bigger at the end??

  • LOL, I miss Flair's big poofy hair...ever since he returned to the WWE, he had combed back with gel....

  • this is the best performance by ric flair I've ever seen...

  • And Heenen ha ha. "YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES," lol

  • 1:00-1:03, look at the way slaughter got eliminated... lol...

  • That looked painfull! But you're right lol!!!

  • and since flair never lost the wcw heavyweight title.....technically he is the FIRST UNDISPUTED heavyweight champion in history.....not jericho.

but that aside, still awesome jericho won that night at armegeddon

  • it was vengenace armageddon didnt have a ppv in 2001.

  • @kefkaroth true true, my bad
