If they do where are they going to go - Pride (gone) Strikefore (will be gone like Pride) I think Fedor didn't sign with the UFC because of such reasons. You can look at the UFC payouts for each event and almost 95% of those guys make over ten thousand a fight. Most make more than 20k a fight. And a lot make in the 50k-100k range. Some of these new unknown fighters dont make a lot because they have to prove their worth but the UFC is loyal and pays to producers. two fights a year at 20k isnt a bad life. like i said u r wrong

@grahamgrider I personally know two fighters who fight in the undercard. They get paid 5-10k per fight. It costs them around 5k to fly to the UFC event, and put up their support team in cheap hotel rooms. Not only that, they have to pay for post-fight surgery out of their own pockets.
Even fighters in the UFC on average make less than 20k per fight, and fight possibly once or twice a year in the UFC. That's not much considering the training, surgeries, and flight costs.

The average income in the US is $48,000. average in UFC is $100,000. so dont get on Dana White for on average paying fighters twice the national average.

Most fighters who fight on the undercard have been doing it for a long time, they just aren't popular among the fans for whatever reason (unable to speak English is a popular one).

I'm sorry but you are completely wrong. First of all i was referring to the UFC, not the whole industry. You can look at the UFC payouts for each event and almost 95% of those guys make over ten thousand a fight. Most make more than 20k a fight. And a lot make in the 50k-100k range. Some of these new unknown fighters dont make a lot because they have to prove their worth but the UFC is loyal and pays to producers. two fights a year at 20k isnt a bad life. like i said u r wrong

@grahamgrider I personally know two fighters who fight in the undercard. They get paid 5-10k per fight. It costs them around 5k to fly to the UFC event, and put up their support team in cheap hotel rooms. Not only that, they have to pay for post-fight surgery out of their own pockets.
Even fighters in the UFC on average make less than 20k per fight, and fight possibly once or twice a year in the UFC. That's not much considering the training, surgeries, and flight costs.

The average income in the US is $48,000. average in UFC is $100,000. so dont get on Dana White for on average paying fighters twice the national average.

@silantbill yes i definitly dont no anything of the sport, i just randomly woke up one day and though "i hate tito ortiz" if i hadnt watched any of his fights, than why would i say these things about him? seriously, u have ur opinion and i have mine. nobody thinks of tito when they think of mma. people think of tito when they think about his hooker wife. tito ortiz does nothing for the ufc, thats why the company had no problem getting rid of him.

If it wasn't for him selling tickets the UFC would have been bankrupt and died looong before a deal with spike was even thought of. And not the company, Dana White cut him. @silantbill yup tito was the champ, good for him. obviously he wasnt popular enough because dana white brought chuck liddell over to pride to fight overeem and rampage to make the ufc get more popular from his performance. im not even a big fan of liddell but fact is, tito fought chumps, thats why he was known as chuck liddell's "body guard" because tito fought all the chumps and liddell fought the real competition.

Chuck Liddell has become they're golden boy because they made him out to be that way, and jackasses like you eat it up and believe it because you weren't there to experience it for yourself. Like I said, Liddell was a nobody when the UFC started making a profit. Liddell may have been the most recognized fighter once he came up, but it as Tito that dug the UFC out of it's financial pit.

@silantbill alright i was watching pride and ivc way before the ufc ever became popular. i got into the ufc when i watched chuck liddell come over to pride to test his skills against overeem and rampage. i dont care what ufc has to say. chuck liddell was their golden boy yes, because he dominated everybody in the ufc. TOP contenders. so we can pretend ortiz did anything.
