Im not filipino, I'm black. But in my opinion, I think she's so successful because she has such a feminine, light voice and sings so effortlessly, so people enjoy her music more. I don't think she sings "Black", I don't know what that is. And I don't think she sings in a gospel style (or Soul). She's just regine. Her voice is her istrument and she has mastered it!

All he did was start the intro and sped up the middle bars and slowed it back down to cue the vocals. Keep in mind that the intro is actually a little more than 30 seconds. This was a more casual setting so the intro was not drawn out to the fullest.

I'll talk in points. a) I respect your opinion, not a crime to sound black anyway. b) it's possible that she sounds black to you cos she sings covers. c) She's versatile can sing things like "And i'm telling you" or "Harana". d) Her main sound is not as heavy as AA singing and so she still doesnt sound black to me. e) please don't lecture me about how black ppl sing unless you majored in it or something, I'm sure I have a pretty good idea.

African Americans have had a unique way of singing and treating a song down through the ages with soul, feelings, riffs etc..that was not common in white or filipino singing..but now they all copy and copy well the black style..Regine sings black and that is why she is the best Filipina singer..in my opinion. Im not filipino, I'm black. But in my opinion, I think she's so successful because she has such a feminine, light voice and sings so effortlessly, so people enjoy her music more. I don't think she sings "Black", I don't know what that is. And I don't think she sings in a gospel style (or Soul). She's just regine. Her voice is her istrument and she has mastered it!

It is interesting that all our top white and filipino singers today tries to sound black..If I did not see her face, I would think that she is black..Black people sing with soul, energy and riffs..having said that..as a musician I traveled throughout Asia and filipinos are the most talented singers in Asia and has the black style downpack...Regina is the best Filipina singer bar none in my opinion and that includes Charice...She is good and I am surprised that she is not a mega star worldwide

All he did was start the intro and sped up the middle bars and slowed it back down to cue the vocals. Keep in mind that the intro is actually a little more than 30 seconds. This was a more casual setting so the intro was not drawn out to the fullest.
