@kwasind1 they could have gotten video of whatever they saw, but be realistic. Have you ever taken a video camera at night time and videoed a distant flying object like a plane? You would be lucky to get anything on your video camera. Unless you have a professional camcorder, you will usually see nothing in terms of highly distingishable, brightly lit objects. And we all seen videos of police dash cams. They usually look blurry at short range....never mind something up in the sky far away

It seemed as if what ever it was sensed that we were looking at it, or noticed us. We didn't notice anything strange, except it was brighter then the other stars around it. We assumed it was a satelite. Until it moved. It was far out in space. Two quick zig zags right and left and went straight up. It was amaizing. I was a skeptick too, but after that night I beleive in my heart and soul, we are not alone and beings from some where else are visiting Earth on a regular basis.

SidneyXda, If these are experimental aircraft they may be testing planes with ion thrusters or the even more conceptual plasma thrusters, which also use ions but work differently. Both of these propulsion techniques are much faster than conventional jet and propeller engines accounting for 'vanishing' . The gas propellants used affects their colour. They can do lots of colours.
Ion and Plasma thrusters can do maneouvers other craft cannot and could easily out manoeuvre conventional planes.
If this incident involved an experimental aircraft, than it must be one that we've been testing since the 1940s (unlikely) and one which can hover and not make ONE SOUND (unlikely).

I saw a UFO when I was in the Navy, but I just figure it was some secret aircraft. It flew over the water and left this reflection on the water then zipped off into the sky and disappeared, it took a few seconds for it to set in, what I had just seen.

During all the chase time, why no videos?
I am not doubting the reports, just wondering why nobody got any of it on film.

@kwasind1 they could have gotten video of whatever they saw, but be realistic. Have you ever taken a video camera at night time and videoed a distant flying object like a plane? You would be lucky to get anything on your video camera. Unless you have a professional camcorder, you will usually see nothing in terms of highly distingishable, brightly lit objects. And we all seen videos of police dash cams. They usually look blurry at short range....never mind something up in the sky far away

I wouldnt hire that Astronomer to search for hidden Easter eggs let alone to comment on this story, what a fool! He forgot to mention marsh gas, seagulls, weather balloons etc etc How many people call 911 because they saw a bright planet, or shooting Star. He is classic example of denial, I believe the eye witnesses. Better put more Fluoride in that towns water, they are not docile enough. Police are not trained observers???

The "astronomer's" explaination is more absurd than the claims. How do you "chase" a planet, fireball, etc.? If he was paying attention to the descriptions his explanations don't fit the reports.
Even if police may not be astronomical experts, they are required to be detailed in there reports so the notion that they somehow got it wrong is insulting.
That man is no skeptic, an actual skeptic does research. This guy is just a clown.

So you are telling me those people who saw the lights had no way of capturing it on video or at least a photo? I always thought cop cars have an integrated cam installed behind the wind shield. This story does not convince me at all. Even all the locals had no evidence. All paid actors. Just wait until camera phones advance to HD video features with fractal image zooming technology then we will finally capture an authentic footage. I'd say in a year for HD and fractal imaging in 3-4 years

@f2pGTA I've seen 7. I have no concrete proof of what I saw. But I have seen one at extremely close range. In fact, I had a bird's eye view of one from the passenger window of a 747 while flying over the Aleutian Islands. It was shaped like a piston, brightly lit, and had an bluish aroura all around it. There was no pulsating light from my vantage point, just a sense of awe. I thought I was watching a satellite reentering the Earth's atmosphere, but it kept pace with the plane...wtf??!!!!!

It seemed as if what ever it was sensed that we were looking at it, or noticed us. We didn't notice anything strange, except it was brighter then the other stars around it. We assumed it was a satelite. Until it moved. It was far out in space. Two quick zig zags right and left and went straight up. It was amaizing. I was a skeptick too, but after that night I beleive in my heart and soul, we are not alone and beings from some where else are visiting Earth on a regular basis.

My hubby and I took our dogs for a walk one evening. We were admiring all the stars in the sky. Then, we saw one very bright star suddenly move in a zig zag, then it went straight up and dissapeared. We both looked at each other and said, "did you see that?" No man made machine could travel that fast. We will never forget this, ever.

SidneyXda, If these are experimental aircraft they may be testing planes with ion thrusters or the even more conceptual plasma thrusters, which also use ions but work differently. Both of these propulsion techniques are much faster than conventional jet and propeller engines accounting for 'vanishing' . The gas propellants used affects their colour. They can do lots of colours.
Ion and Plasma thrusters can do maneouvers other craft cannot and could easily out manoeuvre conventional planes.

His explanation for the sighting is absurd. A stationary(!) fireball just happened to light up a patrol car while at the same time a dozen other cops all confused stars for UFOs

Yeah he thinks that what another officer described as a 'structure', which stopped over a cops car, caused it to lose power, shone a bright light on him then moved off, his car coming back to life... was a 'fireball'...
Then of course this 'fireball' had previously lingered over residents houses and had police and emergency services following it etc etc...
Then we have an officer who saw three in formation lit up like Christmas trees...

I saw a UFO when I was in the Navy, but I just figure it was some secret aircraft. It flew over the water and left this reflection on the water then zipped off into the sky and disappeared, it took a few seconds for it to set in, what I had just seen.
