The new one is... decent. Still, at least it's a remix of this one, which means that ESPN will end up using a variation of this theme for at least 15 years (the 2000-2003 theme was essentially the same)... very long for them!

They're no longer using it. However, they did use it during some bowl games early in the year, so technically it was used in 2010.

Every year since 2006, I've quietly dreaded that ESPN is going to ditch this theme.

I guess the 4th year was finally when it would come to fruition. It's not so much that I think the new theme is "bad" by chance, but it certainly doesn't measure up to this one, or related ones. And that's where this one goes from being a good theme to a bad one.
