I read on google that in Ramona Forever she & her friend Howie Kemp become cousins because his Uncle Hobart marries her Aunt Bea. That wouldn't make them cousins. They'd become cousins if his Uncle Hobart married her mom or Aunt Bea married his dad.
I also adored this series. Sarah Polley made the perfect Ramona. I also enjoy the movie: have you seen it?
Joey King's Ramona is good...but she doesn't really compare to the way Sarah played the part. And the mom in the series seems like she might be the same kind and caring person on and offscreen :)
@sweetlife031 Yeah, she was really nice and I kind of like her as Ramona's mother better 'cause she just seemed a bit more ballsy, you know? I kind of like both Ramonas for different reasons, but I guess if I'm going for nostalgia, I'll go for Sarah.
Me too :) And in my opinion, the mother in the movie doesn't seem to have Lynda Mason Green's flair! lol
But did you notice there were bits in the movie that reminded us of the storylines used in the series? That's why I think it makes sense to see (and save) both the series and the movie, especially since the series itself only lasted for ten episodes. But I do still love it lol
@sweetlife031 To be fair, I only saw it on the plane traveling for hours, so I was too exhausted to remember most of it. I do remember, though, simply HATING how she just laughed at Ramona squeezing an entire tube of toothpaste into the sink whereas Lynda put her foot down and told her to clean it up just like a real mother would.
If 20 years ago, someone had told me that Ramona would hot when she's older, I wouldn't have believed them. it just goes to prove that even i can be wrong.
Lol when you made this video there actaully a book called Ramona World I just brought it I read all of them when I was young like 9 or 8 now I brought them again! Old time!
This brings back so many memories! I also grew up reading all of the Ramona books and watching the series on PBS and on VHS. Beverly Clearley was and still is my all time favorite childhood author!
I use to watch Road to Avonlea on the Canadian channel as well! I didn't realize the young actress who was Ramona was the same actress in Avonlea up until now! She does look different! The memories.. lol
Exactly the same here, I used to love the Road to Avonlea - Sarah Stanley!!! god I'd forgotten about all this, I ADORED the Ramona books and tv show. Off to track some books down :) Thanks so much for uploading this BE x
Actaully When Sara Polley got the role hwe class was reading the book so it worked out perfectly. I didn't even know that she didn't have brown hair because I saw her in Road to Avonlea and she looked so different.
Yeah I grew up with them two I just brought the same book today I used to owned all of them then I got gave them away now I'm going to look them again brought me to the old days
