  • Venice has to be the most romantic city in the world....

  • How come this gorgeous man was so much sexier with his clothes on, than are any of today`s so called stars, showing yards of flesh?!

  • Okay, is this romantic or what:) It brought me back to what is real romance:) Music, soft lights, dancing, holding each other, kissing softly not tongueing, looking into each others eyes, having a guy sing in your ear (only if he sings good)...........this is romance, where has it gone nowadays, everything is so crude on tv and film..........

  • As much as I love this film, it tantalizes me to think of Shirley Booth playing the role as she did on Broadway.

  • @antinotis Booth's character was Leona Samish in this story, called "The Time of the Cuckoo" when it was a play on Broadway. Booth didn't care for the self-pitying personality of her character, and declined to play the role in the film.

  • Ah..... perhaps there is where all those korean romance novels got fireworks scenes in romantic encounters. I am so disappointed, no originality and so trite in content.... all those korean novels!

  • I love Rossano Brazzi and Katherine Hepburn....and I love Venice... I was taken there when I was 23...

  • Just seen this on tv - a classic romance! But what is the Rossini?

  • @annie2shoes - The Rossini is the overture from The Thieving Magpie.

  • Thanks! I love the way the fireworks stand in for orgasm!!!

  • And South Pacific. Like him best in Summertime.

  • Italian actor is Rossano Brazzi [Three Coins in the Fountain]
