I have a question. Are there any upside down loops in this ride? Because I always take my glasses off when i ride this, but I don't see anything and it ruins the ride. I have such fond memories of Space Mountain, going back to my 1st holiday to LA in Oct/Nov 1978! I remember feeling that the lead up to the ride itself was pretty amazing! The ride itself was such great fun,all in the dark with those eerie, distant screams all around. Great times.....

OMG crazy ride! I went on it in April of this year (2011) and it was awesome! All the stars made me lose my equilibreum (idk how to spell that), and while i had a blast it scared me half to death. Thumbs up if u like this ride, pre refurb, or the way it is now, duznt matter.

Disneyland is not a roller coaster theme park. It's rides are designed to completely immerse you in a different place, and a different time...to completely free you from the reality, problems and fears of the outside world...something that a conventional roller coaster cannot achieve. If you're interested in roller coasters, inversions, drops and pure adrenaline rush better to check out six flags or knott's berry farm in Southern CA.

I am TERRIFIED of heights and therefore hate roller coasters. Space monutain took the element of fear away which was my sight and it turned out to be an amazing ride. At night when the ride was closed and people were watching the fireworks I had taken that trolly that goes all around futureworld or whatever it is and at one point i goes inside space mountain, but this time the lights were on. the only words coming to mind were ".... how did I not go insane?"

I mean this one has two cars that hold four people per car I think the one in Disneyworld only fits two per car? I know you don't sit side by side like this and the cars are smaller and the ride I think is longer too, and you have two different tracks lol

I love Disney World's Space Mountain today AND THERE IS MUSIC ON THE RIDE NOW!!! I could not believe it when I first heard it and I FREAKED OUT!!! Too bad my camera was dead that time but I got some good videos of it this month and at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, during which it had snowflakes on the roof.
